Following on from signing the locals, can see us picking up Nathan Konstandopolous.
- Still only 20
- Experience with Brisbane
- Cheaper than Mells
- Picks up the minutes from Mells + Makarounis for less cost
- Gombau was pretty big wrap for him
- Local lad

The club loves bringing back NYL they could find room for.Following on from signing the locals, can see us picking up Nathan Konstandopolous.

I would not be unhappy to see him come back although with McGree, O'Doherty and Brook already signed I think we need some experience rather than youth in the midfield. Surely cannot be worse than Makarounas. The club loves bringing back NYL they could find room for.Following on from signing the locals, can see us picking up Nathan Konstandopolous.

Re: Who's signed for next season
Its rather depressing seeing that the cream of the delisted clubs from other clubs (Risdon, Bonevacia, Williams and even Thwaite) have already been snapped up by MV and WSW and knowing AU never seem to sign any of these in-demand, qulaity types (Van Dijk is the only one I can recall).
I guess we can all look forward to the left overs for a second consecutive season despite Griffs reassuring words that we will be top three next season..his words seem like the hot desert winds of the Sahara

Yeah SVD is one of the only form HAL players AU has ever lured here.

Which isn't something I'm hugely worried about as long as they are developing their youth.
If they can find a way to offer the youth that aren't quite making the HAL squad consistently more game time. Then I'm confident the club won't really need to lure HAL quality players here.
It would have been great to see players like Mells and Marino able to get game time with the AU NPL side so they aren't miles from match fitness when the time comes for them to feature with the HAL side.

Risdon would have been a great pickup but that deal was done a long time ago, well before Tarek did his ACL. Williams is the best player in that bunch but we have Isa.Yeah SVD is one of the only form HAL players AU has ever lured here.

Re: Who's signed for next season
The Og, how could I forget. Interestingly, both Og and Van Dijk were lured here whilst Bianco was the owner if I'm recalling correctly?
Thwaite might have been a good pick up, but Is 34.
Youth is great, but still need a spine of experience and balance is key on that front.
As we know, decent Aussie players with experience and quality are not that common, so AU need to be on the front foot which is hard without a coach.

Thought Vidosic was a big signing. Think that was wth our current ownership group.

Re: Who's signed for next season
Was nichols being interviewed in adelaide or just visiting his dealer?
Not sure we need an ex mv, ex wsw player on parole......
Refering to him being caught by police with 1.1 grams of cocaine overnight , i wonder if a drug conviction will end any chance of playing overseas?

Re: Who's signed for next season
Pardon my ignorance, but is that a lot? Slap on the wrist, or???
Also just realised he's played for 4 different A-League clubs already, not a great sign for stability

Re: Who's signed for next season
Maybe he's visiting Griff in hope he'll be able to get him off!
Bad news for Mitch. Hopefully for his sake its not as bad as it sounds.
Personally I couldn't give a rats if players choose to do recreational drugs, obviously I'd rather they didn't but it's their lives. They are young blokes on pretty good money for their age (generally) look at any other industry around and you'll find young people doing drugs, to think sport is magically different is ridiculous.
I'm not condoning it, I'm just saying its happening.
