Re: Who's signed for next season
Maybe Ned Evans can do another update and tell us about the club’s ambitions as right now, absolutely zero indication of any ambitions to win anything or realistically challenge.
The outgoings which are numerous have been compensated with the signing of Ayoubi and Tunnicliffe- real statements of intent there
Meanwhile everyone bar Perth, jets and us have made reasonable signings this window which end in 1 week.

Record A-League transfer fee for Gauci. In excess of Tilio's $3m reportedly.
Tbh the club is probably only now just breakeven from the $8m reportedly tipped in by the owners in the pre-season.
Would love us to sign someone but don't like our odds.

We are looking at some players but we have a week remaining.

(Maybe lower up front but lots of add ons? Which I think we’ll get, because Gauci is the real deal.)
Re: Who's signed for next season
With Goody, Irankunda, Hall, Popa, and now Gauci sold this season SURELY we have now recovered the reported $8m tipped in by the owners this season.
Future sales will hopefully be invested back into the squad

I think Jimmy Jeggo is a massive miss.
I know he’s a Melbourne native but I do wonder whether the club made enquiries about him? Class player, great history with the club and in a crucial position

Keeping that box to box spot open for Mauk I'd say. Bit of a gamble if so.

They were keen to make the following statement at the end of the Popovic article on the official site:
"The Club is currently undertaking an extensive scouting process for a suitable addition."

Re: Who's signed for next season
I just don’t want them to rush, I mean the squad looks mint right now and so hard to improve it.
Pretty sure they said they were undertaking an extensive search back when Goody got sold 6 months back & still nothing.
Btw, where is Toure? 4-6 week injury 8 weeks back- hope he has not been sold as well!
Also thought Van see Saag was close and as for Barnett, when did a hamstring become a 5 month inju

Are these the figures? With Goody, Irankunda, Hall, Popa, and now Gauci sold this season SURELY we have now recovered the reported $8m tipped in by the owners this season.
Future sales will hopefully be invested back into the squad
Goodwin $0.8m
Irankunda $1.8m
Hall $buttons
Popa $0.6m (transfermarkt)
Gauci $2.5m
Total $5.7m
It’s not so easy to make back $8m.

Re: Who's signed for next season
Well while we all have a healthy debate here, CV has a threadbare squad hit by injury and exits to front up against City last week and CCM tomorrow.
Games that will likely count at the end as to who makes finals or not.
So the net result is that the team and club are hardly setting up for success or even giving everyone the best opportunity to do so.
But I guess that only matters if you like winning….
