For the club to put faith in him and say, you're our number 9 for the season is wild. For him to sign for a lesser club 8 months later is disgusting.Yengi would have to be batshit to sign for WSW.Some transfer tidbits according to the reliable Twitter account Aussie Scout
Javi Lopez will retire
Harry van der Saag will be signed
Yengi will sign for WSW
Timotheou (along with Smith) will sign for Victory. Lmaooo
Maybe he should go have a chat to AH Toure or Stametolopolous and ask where the greener grass lay.

Re: Who's signed for next season
Yengi going to another A-League club is just dumb, if it's about career progression. We're a top(-ish) side who can also probably give him more game time than he'll get anywhere else.
If someone else can pay him more, well, good luck to him I guess, but it's a big shame given how much support he has here.

All I need is some tasty waves, a cool buzz, and I'm fine.

He probably thinks that playing in the east will give him more exposure than sleepy old Adelaide in terms of a move overseas. That plus the extra $$$ would make it look like the next logical step for his career.
Let's face it, the lad isn't short on confidence. His plan will be to bustle his way into WSW's starting line up and light up the league. He may well do just that. I think the injury this season means we've missed the bus on this one, both in terms of him strutting his stuff in a Reds shirt for at least a full season, and cashing in on a potentially big transfer fee

I'd rather be the next Matthew Leckie, Awer Mabil or Riley McGree than say Bruce Kamau, Ruon Tongyik, Daniel Bowles or Ben Warland. Nothing against any of these players of course just didn't go past the A-league, not quickly anyway.Yengi going to another A-League club is just dumb, if it's about career progression. Players that go east don't seem to make it all the way west to Europe.

You can see his legs are starting to go, but he’s been excellent this season and I think he’s got one last year in him.Javi Lopez loves it in Adelaide and wants to stay!!! Sign him up aufc!!!

You can see how much he’s loving it in the little things - the way he celebrates our goals, the way his kids were mucking about with Ibusuki’s kids while they were having selfies with the crowd. I think part way through this season he realised this season might be his last and he’s making the most of every moment.
Great player. Great person. Great team. Great club.

I see Yuel and O'Doherty were cut from Newcastle today, no doubt the club will look at both.
Personally I think O'Dog offers more than Konstandopolous and would throw him a lifeline. Yuel pass.

We desperately need a right footed winger so I’d definitely take Yuel.I see Yuel and O'Doherty were cut from Newcastle today, no doubt the club will look at both.

We already have an abundance of CM/DM’s. Caletti will surely go while I’d only sign O’Doherty if we lose Cavallo and Konstandopoulos as well.

O'Doherty and Yull in
I'd take that and spend dough elsewhere.
As for a RW, well we can assume Dukuly is gone but if we can sign Brook I think we've an abundance with Bernardo and Irankunda.

Yuel is apparently off to Europe so we can rule him out as a potential signing.

Re: Who's signed for next season
It was reported on 10 tonight that Mo and Dukuly (lmaoooo) are off to Reims.
8 first choice players are set to re-sign.
We are in pole position to sign Goodwin should he leave his Saudi club.

I can't imagine the Goodwin's wanting to raise a family in Saudi Arabia.
So, here are my two absolutely wild suggestions for VISA signings this year (to replace Juande, Clough, maybe Isa)
- Fran Merida of Espanyol, also offer his sister a role. Outstanding youth prospect that never really got there, right age for our comp and clearly the Espanyol link. He's a Catalan, so we should have good references. He's a playmaker but more like a 6 than a 10.
- Someone from the Ukraine U20 side that won the 2019 WC. A striker if we lose Ibusuki/Yengi, a defender otherwise.
