Re: Who's signed for next season
Stefan Nigro released at Victory.
Full back. I think he's happy playing both left and right sides. Ballarat boy so virtually a local. He could be a perfect fit for us.
Eastern SA and Western Vic are only seperated by an arbitrary line after all.

Re: Who's signed for next season
I wonder if the club are thinking about a visa attacking left back.
We are covered on the right with marrone and strain but aussie quality on the left is hard to find, certainly if your looking for a behich or cassio type.
Currently we have 3 visas we can fill. Finding good aussie wingers like goodwin will certainly give us more options elsewhere.

Re: Who's signed for next season
It's now rumoured Goodwin might be signing for Perth Glory.

Also Danny Choi is coming along quite nicely after his injury problems, wouldn't mind seeing back in the A League again with you guys or anyone else who will give him a shot.
I've seen him play live and he's looks like he's starting to get back to his best again.
There are some highlights of his last game in the NPL on the NSW NPL facebook page.
We need more players like him with the X factor in the A League.

Re: Who's signed for next season
There are a few twitter users with the last name goodwin who are saying the perth rumours are false.
As with any negotiations a clear plan b can help your manouver a better deal

I can't find anything that suggests the Perth rumours are false, quite the opposite. Unless the supposed Goodwin family members have since taken those tweets down at the request of the club.

I don't care what's in the media or on twitter as long as the behind the scenes boys sign him up. I would think he would love to come back to Adelaide if at all possible (ie if we can pretty well match what he can get elsewhere).

I find it astounding that he hasn't been signed by another HAL club. It's now rumoured Goodwin might be signing for Perth Glory.

He's clearly quality and from the get go with AU never appeared out of his depth.

Would be happy to sign Choi, particularly now as he doesn't take a foreign spot.

Re: Who's signed for next season
Is anyone in the local competition showing any promise for a spot?
Andreas Wiens is possibly a bit old but has the German connection? Luigi DiTroia? Liam Wooding worth another crack?

Just saw a screenshot of a tweet on Facebook that Hearts are interested in signing Ben Garuccio.

Re: Who's signed for next season
Best of luck to him!
I think its a good example though of the drop in quality in the spl after the top 4 teams.
Once you get mid table to the galf season relegation zone its really aleague and below quality imo.
That being said i actually find the spl very entertaining

Re: Who's signed for next season
According to the red army, Mabil and Gombau are running a coaching session this week in adelaide.
Im NOT speculating either are joining the club , mabil is obviously just visiting home in the offseason.
It is great that both these guys are active in the local community though, i cant think why gombau would be in town though and frankly speculating is pointless as we dont have much of a clue as to the exact direction the new owners want to go

Re: Who's signed for next season
Gombau is in Adelaide just earning a living more than likely.
I don't think the club would be entertaining any thoughts of bringing him back.
I would think they would be more than happy with the work Marco Kurz did this season.
But then again I am a long way from Adelaide and anything is possible...
