Re: RE: Re: Who's signed for next season
Fantastic news for Awer. Are we still getting sell on fees from him?
Mabil to Cadiz.
Edit- nevermind, it was a free transfer.
Not the big news I was expecting, thought that AUFCs cryptic clue on their Facebook about a new signing and the tweet from Cornflakes might be connected.
Re: Who's signed for next season
Hearing more strength to the rumours Warland is returning. Released from SFC officially.
Warland
Barr
Popa
Ansell
A bloody tidy defence!
Just need Benny, a box to box mid and another striker and we are set!

Just announced- Ben Warland is coming back. Fills Jako's spot.

Another Gawler boy comes home
Re: Who's signed for next season
You'd have to say that's the defence sorted.
4 CBs (Popa, Barr, Warland, Ansell)
2 RBs (Lopez, VDS)
2 LBs (Kitto, Cavallo)
Surely BennyH would come back to Adelaide. He was playing some of his best footy with us.
What does everyone think is our next most critical signing?

Midfield is sorted too given we have have 9 players for three spots (including Cavallo). You'd have to say that's the defence sorted.

Most critical signing would be Goodwin imo.

Re: Who's signed for next season
Warland never seemed to break through in Sydney, I hope he's coming back with a point to prove because he left a very promising young man.
Goodwin is clearly our most important signing to make and if I'm being negative, the side is solid but no better than last year really.
Maybe Clough acclimatises, maybe Nestory goes to a new level or maybe Isa winds back the clock but right now, we're fairly like-for-like to last year. Is it enough?

Re: Who's signed for next season
Goodwin clearly doesn't want to go back to Saudi so its just a matter of being patient on that one until works out.
I don't want to get too excited because I'm not expecting that much from out new owners, however Jako leaving does open up a visa spot that we could sign a significant player with.

I'm not getting the "new owner buzz" .

No announcement, no big signings.
Hoping it's just being delayed / scheduled for maximum exposure, otherwise it's a disappointing start to their reign.

Re: Who's signed for next season
Agree on Rojos, no signings to date that are significant upgrades on what we already had.
Seems very like for like but we have lost X factors like Toure and Yengi. Would love Halloren back but also need more than Hiro and Blackwood.
For me we need class more than anything and Goody aside, it’s more limited than last season at this stage.
New owners… for all the talk it’s very quiet on that front and signings to date are moneyball style as usual
