They are looking for a target and still don't have a target with one day left in the transfer window which is piss poor by the club/recruitment staff.I think that "Is looking" is a "figure of speech." Didn't Ante say that they were "very close to securing a target?" The words,"Courting an European attacker" have also been used. I think that what they were trying to say is that United HAVE been looking for an European based attacker who is a free agent.

Re: Who's signed for next season
I'd take Hrustic. He needs the game time and we need a number 10.Reading an article on Aussies who need a move to enhance their World Cup Finals selection, I saw the name Ajdin Hrustic. This lad is out of favour with his Dutch club Groningen. He played for the Australian Under 23's in a more central (Attacking midfielder) role than he normally does. They describe him as a winger, but I was impressed with his technical ability and how he played in the more central role. He is very impressive on the ball. Adelaide United should go for the 21 year old and just get him on loan. He gets regular game time and we get a top class player who has been in senior Socceroo squads. I am suggesting this as a last ditch attempt to replace Matmour if the German based player deal does not come off.

There's more than one day to sign free agents, which is what most A League clubs do.They are looking for a target and still don't have a target with one day left in the transfer window which is piss poor by the club/recruitment staff.I think that "Is looking" is a "figure of speech." Even if we can sign free agents after the window shuts, not finding a replacement for Matmour nearly 2 months after he left is unacceptable. There's more than one day to sign free agents, which is what most A League clubs do.They are looking for a target and still don't have a target with one day left in the transfer window which is piss poor by the club/recruitment staff.I think that "Is looking" is a "figure of speech." Re: Who's signed for next season
I have no doubt we have in fact identified more than one target .... we've just failed to sign them. Complain about not landing our targets, not that we're still looking. Thank goodness they're still looking. I'd be more worried if they said they'd stopped looking. They are looking for a target and still don't have a target with one day left in the transfer window which is piss poor by the club/recruitment staff.I think that "Is looking" is a "figure of speech." Yeah i thought he’d been good this year when given a crack. If is he going, the club would want to be damn sure that Elsey will stay...Warland gone. Pity, I rated him.

Strange.
Possibly the club wants the money for the new attacking mid, not that warland would be on much.
It would also be an indication that at least 2 if elsey, gulum and reagan are staying next season.
Sfc get what they want as usual, transfer fees between aleague clubs need to happen, 5 years of development gone for free

Ppl who slap the label of truth on the 1st thing they hear, do it out of ignorance, convenience or cant be bothered picking through a thin layer of falsehood to find the real truth, or possibly even another lie

I am glad he has moved on. Warland needs to move on from the "4th choice CB" role in order to progress his career.Warland gone. Pity, I rated him.

Re: Who's signed for next season
Regan is still contracted for next season so surely it's either Elsey or Gulum staying.
I've just heard that Jordan O'Doherty may be off to Perth next season.

O'Doherty needs to stay. He's a local lad and he's breaking in. Perth is a sideways step career wise.
All I need is some tasty waves, a cool buzz, and I'm fine.

Re: Who's signed for next season
Good to see we are still a feeder club that gives young players a chance to develop before moving on free transfers to rival clubs.
Tongyik coming to us to replace Warland? Yeah right.....
Good to see we've weakened the squad this window, kovacevic is a friggin disaster.

Re: Who's signed for next season
We rejected the initial offer, but Warland wanted to go.
Cant blame him either, he is behind Elsey, Gulum and Regan.
He is more than ready to step up, cant wait to see him play ACL.
