I can't see that changing until we have a new coach either. I hope that happens soon as the wolves will sure to be circling Juric!

Am I correct in saying Juric scored as many goals in his handful of appearances as Bruce did over the entire season?

Can't believe the idiots at AU signed both Watson and Fyfe to 2 year extensions. Ridiculous.

Juric should be signed.

Of course we could terminate contracts when the new coach comes in, I think Barbiero, Kosta are as good as gone. But man we need some defenders and 2 spots open is not going to fix our issues. I reckon we will have some departures, all is very unwell at AU atm so would think some guys are going to force a transfer (Eugene, Vidosic for example).
Interesting (and troubling) times ahead yet again. Oh to have a stable and functional football team in Adelaide for once.....

Except for Fyfe all those guys are probably earning around the minimum wage in the HAL. Who would you have instead then? Its all well and good to say these blokes aren't up to it but we can't replace them with NYL kids who aren't up to it yet either.

We have a good squad. All we need is a decent right back and a midfield general. Even just a RB would do it. The other positions we have the talent and the numbers.

What we need is a coherent system, a new level of trust between players and a clear picture in the players minds that they are trusted and valued.

Start the season with a first 11 and give them time. Make fringe players really earn a spot. DO NOT chop and change every week and play favourites.

Oh, we could do with a manager who gives a shit about football more than their own ego too.

I'm not sure we'll ever find a system that properly accommodates both Dario and Carrusca. Does one need to go to allow the other to flourish?

At our most potent - a few years back in that golden window with Flores, Leckie and Serg - the three were all different players but could link up in a range of ways.

Valkanis shoehorned players into a structure and got it all wrong, and while Griffin boasts that we have so many players already signed up I don't know what an incoming coach can do to improve it quickly.

This. Any whinge about Boogaard, Watson, Djite etc detracts from the real issue which is that they are being sent out there every week without adequate structure and gameplan... Brisbane under Ange, CCM under Arnold and WSW under Poppa are all proof that teams full of average A-League level journeymen can play excellent football, so long as they are on the same wavelength, properly drilled and structured.
All I need is some tasty waves, a cool buzz, and I'm fine.

The Dario/Carrusca dilemma is easily solved. Neither of them actually play a full game so just swap them at half time!

In our squad-limited/salary-capped league, coaches need at least 18 months and one off-season to effect their will/game plan on a squad. Problem is after 2 wins from 12 games I just don’t think the fans would stand for Valkanis being offered the job let alone a 2 year deal: (

Did anyone catch last game Simon Hill mention the Juric was on loan?
I'd say that would probably explain why he was running around like a mad man if the Brissy game was his last!
