I think Lia and Dugandzic are on completely different planes - Lia is a proven HAL player - Dugandzic was not (but promised to be).Lia is a good option in an emergency and gives us experience and steel (thuggery) off the bench and in case of injury but.... just like our last two pre season windows we end up having too many fillers and not enough quality. I wasn't against Duganzic when he signed... and then he ended up having to start a pile of games for us.
I really hope we can get in a solid pre reason with our key players firing and ready and not last minute everything or plug gaps poorly.
Lia is a known quantity. He's not a big name but he will be an important cog in midfield and will probably start a lot of games. I actually think he could prove to be a great partner to Isa.
Would much rather him than those players that float around at different clubs each year. He's played 12 seasons at only 2 clubs.
We still need a good 4 or 5 players but we could do worse than him.
