Who's signed for next season

Val has already signalled that George Timotheou, a strapping six foot three centre back, currently playing for a Belgian first division team (Zulte Waregem), will be heading to the Reds in January. He is 22 years of age.We have chased him in the past when he was playing for the Sydney FC youth team. He actually ended up going to Schalke and played mainly in their reserve team. However, he made a first team appearance against Stuttgart. He sounds like a promising player despite the fact that he does not seem to be getting much game time currently. We shall see.

Seeing as Schalke signed him straight from NPL makes me think he's been signed due to his physical attributes more than performances. But that's purely a presumption.
He's apparently not featured for Zulte since the first two games of the season. I wonder if he has an issue with injuries?
Hopefully its just a case of a kid moving over to Europe too early and really benefiting from a return back to home for a season or two.

Can't say I have the fondest memories of him, the only thing I really recall is him coming out and announcing that the club had spent more money than they ever had before on players (Holland, Henrique signings season). What he didn't realise is that announcing you've spent more than ever before and it hasn't worked is an admission of incompetence, not a brag.

Does anyone know what has his role been at the club lately? He originally was director of football from memory. But since he was hired Viddie and Bruce has also had that role.
I've also got a lot of sympathy for anyone who worked for the club during the Griffin era. So I'm sure if he was in a similar role at a different club things could have been very different for him.

My understanding is that Managers get a say in a lot more within the club such as club signings, staff appointments etc.

Head coaches just coach the team with the players they're given (more or less).
