Re: Who's signed for next season
There is a rumour on 442 forum that a Dutch second division team is monitoring Miluesnic and are looking at him as a striker. It comes from a poster who claims they work at the club and they have said previously they are a goalkeeping coach.

Interest rumour considering 1. He's not a striker, and; 2. He's a pretty average finisher.

Re: Who's signed for next season
If he was to leave i think he would be the hardest to replace given salary cap restrictions and available wide australian players.

He would not being until at least January, and the rumour is probably bullshit. If he was to leave i think he would be the hardest to replace given salary cap restrictions and available wide australian players.
Danny Choi? Not sure if he counts as an Australian yet.

Choi's still not fit enough to play for blacktown/bankstown whichever one it is.He would not being until at least January, and the rumour is probably bullshit. If he was to leave i think he would be the hardest to replace given salary cap restrictions and available wide australian players.

Ocheing could do a job there or rejig the midfield and play Matmour as a winger. He's played there a bit and still looks like he has some pace.
Mileusnic has good pace and decent positioning but cant pass, cross or shoot well enough IMO. Had a good cup game with the hattrick. You've got to be in the right place at the right time to score but they weren't pretty and tougher opposition wouldn't have afforded him the time or space that he had.
I might seem harsh because he has shown good glimpses and might have a fantastic season but he's just not a guaranteed starter for me.

Re: RE: Re: Who's signed for next season
I agree with you about Mileusnic. He looks like he could be very good but still makes far too many mistakes. He exploited a weak defence to get into goals scoring positions but he still wasted some good chances despite the hat trick. Still he would be the first option at RW unless Matmour plays there and Adlung becomes our number 10. Not convinced any of O'Doherty, Kitto or Ochieng are better. Kristan Konstandopoulos is a winger, Brook might be an option although I think he is more of a central player, also maybe Stamatelopoulos and Strain can play on the wing. So we are not short of players who can probably play on the wing although quality might be an issue. Kristan Konstandopoulos has played a bit in preseason so Kurz might see him as ready to playChoi's still not fit enough to play for blacktown/bankstown whichever one it is.He would not being until at least January, and the rumour is probably bullshit. If he was to leave i think he would be the hardest to replace given salary cap restrictions and available wide australian players.

There are enough players of Mileusnic's quality over here already...

Frank Juric appointed goalkeeping coach. Good appointment. The world according to Ante looks complete. It hasn't been pretty this off season but i am very excited about the season coming up. This is certainly Kovacevic's assemblage now. He's done an outstanding job i think but time will tell i spose. Petrillwho?

Solid squad and some optimism. Miles ahead of where we were 2-3 months ago, things were looking very bleak.
Excited.

New 2 year deal for Margush. Awesome. He's quality and soon I think he and Izzo will genuinely be fighting for the #1 spot.
All I need is some tasty waves, a cool buzz, and I'm fine.

^^^
That's excellent news.
( Even though my heart went "pang" when I suddenly saw Eugene last night on a German sports channel which was showing the Melbourne derby highlights.)

Re: Who's signed for next season
I hope this doesnt happen but we may need an injury replacement if Gulum gets a knock.
With Reagan out for 3 months i dont like the idea of a warland / elsey pairing.
Although i guess marrone could do a job at CB

Re: Who's signed for next season
I would have no problem giving Warland and Elsey a go together. However if we had two CBs down long term then bringing someone else in would be necessary, but they could be back up.I hope this doesnt happen but we may need an injury replacement if Gulum gets a knock.

Re: Who's signed for next season
Same starting lineup as last week.
No Baba on the bench. Mush have not recovered from that hamstring strain in Brisbane.
Matmour and Ochieng come into the bench for Baba and O’D.
