Drogba is playing for Galatasaray, scored a back heel for them a couple of days ago.

Re: Who's signed for next season
When his time in china didn't end well I thought to myself he would be great for any a-league team but I guess he's still good enough to play for big European clubs so doubt Australia's on his radar... yet.

Re: Who's signed for next season
He's on loan to Gala from his Chinese club. At the end of the season he'll return to China to see out the last year of his $365,000 per week contract.

Oh, I thought his Chinese club weren't paying him or something like that so he left. Thanks for the info stuck.

Re: Who's signed for next season
http://www.adelaidenow.com.au/sport/foo ... 6652535200CENTRAL midfielder Fabian Barbiero and midfielder Evan Kostopoulos face a six-week wait before learning whether they have A-League futures at Adelaide United.
United has three positions to fill on its 2013-14 squad but will not decide whether to offer Barbiero or Kostopoulos contract extensions until incoming coach Josep Gombau arrives in Adelaide in mid-July.
Makes sense to me. Both are players that clearly have AUFC at heart but I'm afraid they are both known quantities now.

Re: Who's signed for next season
Lets do the math. We have 3 visa players meaning we have 2 available?
I can imagine Jo wanting to bring in at least 1 or 2 of his own type of player and then probably Barbs will get the last spot and the Kosto a youth gig?
I don't really rate any of them as good players so would rather take a chance on someone else.

Beat me to it by five minutes! Now only Evan is waiting.
It's definitely the curse of the season ticket/membership...

Feel for the guy - a true clubman but for whatever reason, just couldn't cut the mustard at HAL level.

Re: Who's signed for next season
surprised he could not get a gig at another club as a squadie, could probably be in the starting 11 at the nix.
Kostopolous has to go though, he has always flown under the radar because he was a "youth project" but many would shocked to find he is actually 23.
IMO he in not fast enough to cut it in the A-league and does not have the quality on the ball to make up for his lack of pace.
I wouldnt feel sorry for these guys though, would be a fairly lucrative life they can still lead being semi professional and being something as simple as a PT during the day.
Goodluck to them! May not be the last we hear of them since the APL is due to get up and running

Ppl who slap the label of truth on the 1st thing they hear, do it out of ignorance, convenience or cant be bothered picking through a thin layer of falsehood to find the real truth, or possibly even another lie
