How do you know Tunnicliffe has been poor at training and during games? Given his game time so far I think he's been just fine.

i thought it was common knowledge that he has been poor in training? this has been widely reported, people are chalking it off as hes still acclimatizing to australian conditions, but thats not the case from reports.

so you thought he was 'just fine' last matchday? (where he was invisible and sydney kept playing through our midfield)

dont let the tap in he scored against a depleted city side fool you, tunicliffe is absolute pants and has done nothing in the small sample size (100 odd minutes) to justify the wage the club is playing

I have seen literally nowhere or nobody else saying he has been poor. Do you have some screenshots or examples?

I'm not defending him either, just haven't yet seen any criticism.

As for adjustment, this is a thing. All our imports have taken time to find their feet.

The tap in against City was not his only contribution during his sub appearances in the first two games. He linked up play in the final third very nicely and brought some welcome poise and experience to a very young team. He looked really good and deserved being called up to the starting 11 imho.

I agree that he was AWOL against Sydney, but he wasn't alone in that. That first half was a shambles from back to front. Carl could have dragged any of them at half time.

He's leaving his current club - reports suggest his first priority is staying in Japan, but if the right offer doesn't come along he will sign with Adelaide in January.

Not really the position we need filled but a great leader and would welcome him back with open arms. Will be all the better from his o/s experience.

Apparently (Tiser article I saw in the lunch room at work) Mauk is angling for a move to a J1 or other Asian club, but if the right offer is not forthcoming we're his #1 option in the A-League.

he'll probably end up going to Wanderers or something
