We're backing the NPL kids to step up and do a job this season and the coaches obviously think they're capable.

Yull, Alagich, Duzel, Barnett, Jovanovic, Madanha, Irankunda will see a lot of minutes.

Don't generally like this kind of commentary on such a young kid. Sure it's nice to hear he's highly rated but it's now put a hell of a lot of pressure on a teenager.

Seems to me as if this is a way of the club trying to allay the concerns of the fans' about the lack of signings.

Totally agree. It is not something I like to hear and all too often to the detriment of the recipient.

Well I think we can temper that disapproval slightly based on the forum through which Carl has made the statement. If he had said it in a media interview then fair enough. Saying it at an in house fan forum is a bit different.

Having said that if a "Veart predicts youngster's impending rise to stardom" article appears on Keep Up over the weekend I'll be editing this post

Nestory, Yull, Madanha, Alagich, Jovanovic are all a year older.

Bernardo is essentially a new signing, Duzel too. HVDS, Cavallo and Barnett will be handy additions when fit.

I'm quietly confident Tunnicliffe will do a job for us.

Ansell seems to have gotten through preseason, which bodes well for the defence.

I think Goodwin leaving has lowered my expectations, but not my enthusiasm for the season. Bring it on!

Gee all u Adelaide supporters, need to release that are club is going nowhere , one new signing , and ur all crowning how good we will be , u people need a relatively check , I will eat humble pie if I am wrong but I think we are bottom feeders, thanks to a bunch of shit owners and a bunch of fans who thinks kids are the only way to go , u need a balance
