Who's signed for next season

Here’s one I heard, Harry Van der Saag from Sydney signed for next season. Definitely need RB so would make sense

Yeah we need someone to challenge / backup Lopez. Could do a lot worse.

In previous seasons, I felt he had some promise but this season has been absolutely horrid. Currently Sydney’s 3rd choice RB. Can also play midfield as well.

sub007, Harry Van Der Saag's best position is apparently centre back, even though he has usually played in the right back position. Watching him at Cooper's Stadium, I always thought that he was pretty solid defensively. He could be a shrewd signing as he is definitely an A-League standard player.

He is definitely not a centre back and as far as I’m aware has never played there either.

Northbridge are their NPL affiliate so they are basically Macarthur’s youth team now.

Safe to say the move didn't really work out for AH. Burst onto the scene for us and looked like the next big thing in Aussie football, Olyroos call-up and now this.

Northbridge are their NPL affiliate so they are basically Macarthur’s youth team now.

Safe to say the move didn't really work out for AH. Burst onto the scene for us and looked like the next big thing in Aussie football, Olyroos call-up and now this.

I wouldn’t say that. It’s no different from giving our players a game in our NPL side. He’s in the matchday squad pretty much every week so he gets regular sub appearances and the odd start.

I see the link between the team, but why would they actually transfer Toure to Northbridge? What does that mean if he is just able to move back and forth? Or do they have to transfer him so he can get a run with Northbridge?

Does it help with their squad numbers/salary cap in any way? That's what I was thinking

It wouldn't. Macarthur giving young players a run for Northbridge is no different from us giving the likes of Delianov or D'Arrigo a run for the NPL side.

Toure is still a Macarthur player btw, he hasn't departed the club nor is he on the fringes either.

Sad to see Lopez retire. I love watching him. Brilliant player but due to age does lack pace. Makes up for it with skill and positioning.
