I’ll be willing to give the club the benefit of the doubt for now. If we have another transfer window like last preseason, then I’ll turn against the club’s owners. For me despite all the words and promises of change, nothing much appears to have changed.
Best players leave each year, good youngsters get signed by rivals for free and AU don’t sign quality imports or Aussies.
Izzo is a massive loss, birighitti is the only Aussie I’d sign if possible, otherwise looks like GK will go from a strength to a weakness pretty quickly.

Mohamed Toure may well be off to France as well.

Edit: He’ll come back on loan for the next two seasons.

Very happy for Izzo. He's at the right age to move. Big gloves to fill now!
Hopefully the club is able to re-invest some of this fee but sadly I'd imagine a lot of it would just go into making the club stay afloat!

Was there a fee? I assumed he was allowed to leave. Especially if A-league clubs are trying to push lower wages onto players. I've heard that a few nix players have gone to the Indian Premier League, haven't looked further into it though.Very happy for Izzo. He's at the right age to move. Big gloves to fill now!

Re: Who's signed for next season
I think any long standing fans of aleague clubs need to acknowledge both that the league and each one of its clubs have changed for good.
The money just is not there from a corporate level all the way down to each clubs revenues.
Realistically we should expect mid to upper level players leaving for leagues like the indian prem where they are much better supported financially.
Although disappointing I feel like its a way for Aus football to reconnect with grass roots and focus on slow sustainable organic growth.
Aleague has had more than a decade to become a rusted on part of australians lives and failed miserably. Its back to the doldrums for football.

Re: Who's signed for next season
I'd say that would be fairly likely. It would be great to see someone like him come back over the club going after an order keeper like Reddy for example. Can we have Margus back please

Jack Duncan has apparently departed his Saudi club. I don’t really rate him but we probably aren’t gonna get anyone better.

Great news for Nicola.Nikola off to Denmark.

One good thing about this is Pacifique will move into the starting XI. Different type of player, but one who is ready to be in our starting line-up.
