Roy O'Donvovan anyone ??
Can't agree to terms with the Jets, proven scorer but perhaps a bit old at 33.

From vals article today, couldn't read it all because of the paywall.Irishman Roy O’Donovan has attracted interest from A-League clubs without a notable striker for next season but Adelaide United hasn’t made a play for the ex Newcastle Jet according to sources.

Strikers for next year ought to be Blackwood with Pacifique off the bench.

Dang it. Eugene has been his usual awesome self at Shitty. He was born in Perth at least, so I'm not sure on the go-home factor, per se.
We gave City Malik and gained Mauk. That swap was a crushing win by us.
City didn't work out for Carrusca, nor has it for Birighitti.

Eugene has been great, but we had the chance to bring Izzo home and I'm glad we did. Euge will probably retire now, whereas Izzo is getting better and better.
Move didn't work out for Malik, Carrusca, Kamau or La Rocca, I guess Tongyik cut his teeth and Eugue was good in the short term.
McGree went there via Brugge.
I'm very dissapointed in Galloway but confident Kitto can cover him next year.

Re: Who's signed for next season
I really like Kitto at left back / wing back to be honest.
He has the skill set to attack but also that bit of hardness in him that a defender needs to thrive.

The Tiser article about us not chasing O’Donovan also mentions that Lachlan Brook is expected to sign a 2 yr extension.
Hopefully he can get fit and push on to compete for the first team

We also have Strain to cover RB/LB.
Adelaide United FC: our club, our city, our state.
Re: Who's signed for next season
I wouldn't expect us to be making any big signings until a new coach arrives and makes his assessment.
Unfortunate that we might miss out on a few players but it makes sense to give the coach room to work with.

For someone who has been afk for a while, can anyone tell me what happened to N Konst and R Strain? Not in the Matchday squads for ages.

Re: RE: Re: Who's signed for next season
Strain got injured a few weeks ago during a game and was subbed in the first 15 mins, got fit about 2-3 weeks ago but hasn't been able to make it back into a winning squad. For someone who has been afk for a while, can anyone tell me what happened to N Konst and R Strain? Not in the Matchday squads for ages.
I think N. Konstandopoulos had a few chances this season to make a claim for that #10 role but couldn't step up. I think he is better suited to playing where Mirko Boland plays and hasn't seen time since Mirko has been fit.
Why they aren't making the bench is probably due to the limited bench spots and needing those spots for central defensive cover and strike options.

Re: Who's signed for next season
I see Scott McDonald has signed for Western United, given they've already signed Connor Pain and Kone it'll be interesting to see if Stametolopolous fits in.
