Re: Who's signed for next season
dy Thomassen has already played his last game of the season for De Graafschap. The 25-year-old attacker is allowed to leave on a rental basis at the Doetinchem premier division and is in conversation with a foreign club. That reports newspaper De Gelderlander .
Thanks to the arrival of Charlison Benschop Thomassen has little perspective on playing time at De Graafschap. The striker, which came over from Helmond Sport last summer, must also tolerate Fabian Serrarens above him in the pecking order. De Brabander had to do it mainly before the winter break with incursions. He started three times in the base and came nine times as a substitute within the lines, but did not score.
Only hiring
Thomassen has let De Graafschap, where he still has a contract until the summer of 2020, open to a departure. The Doetinchem club only wants to let him go on a rental basis. The attacker was interested in Telstar this winter, but this week the first divisionist said he would prefer a foreign adventure.

Similar CV to all the other duds we've had. Forgive me for not being optimistic about it.

Me neither but i'm glad we have someone that can give Blackwood some competition and so we don't have to play Halloran upfront.Similar CV to all the other duds we've had. Forgive me for not being optimistic about it.

I think weve learnt by now not to judge on CV alone. Some of our better strikers have come from Spanish 3rd div, and Baba was a La Liga striker and weve seen nothing from him.Similar CV to all the other duds we've had. Forgive me for not being optimistic about it.
Hes a big, strong looking guy.... let's see how he goes.

Re: Who's signed for next season
I think its important to not just consider a players CV and quality but also their ability to play in a league with certain characteristics and if their strengths click with the needs of the teams playing style.
Baba was a quality striker but fell apart, pablo, isaias cirio and flores were all skilful players who could adapt to a more physical league.
Guardiola lacked mental fortitude and the ability to play in a league that may ruin his hair.
Dgengis appeared to be perfectly suited to the aleague but his injury was unfortunate.
The positive thing about this guy is that he is on a long term deal so probably not the journeyman hack that you see in australia from time to time

It is also noteworthy that he appears to be around the same tier of player that goodwin was in holland.

Re: Who's signed for next season
I cant see much reason for Ilso to be in the matchday squad now.
His versatility made him viable but surely with 2 target men in the team now his midfield exploits are under the microscope.
Although ilso does push up as the second striker i think we can get much more out of an aggressive konsta or halloran in that role. Surely though once Boland returns he will be out of the squad?
I look forward to seeing hallorab play his natural game on the wing though

Re: Who's signed for next season
Can we release Ilso and sign Adlung?
Do we still have an import spot free? (think we might)
If so, any free agents we can sign ?
All I’m saying is that this may go on a bit longer and another change or two might be nice if possible.
Anyway, Jordy is better than nought

Re: Who's signed for next season
So..... can he play Saturday?
I mean, can he come off the bench for 10 minutes or will we be waiting 2 weeks for papers or some BS?
