We will watch the rest of this season slip by without a real striker. No signing will come

Re: Who's signed for next season
I could imagine Fornaroli is a player that likes a coach putting his arm around him, and telling him what a great player he his and coaxing extra effort at training to get the best out of him. Joyce doesn't strike me as that sort of coach. But I think Kurz is.

Re: Who's signed for next season
I think we will see a new signing, Kurz has made it pretty clear that he expects one. He has done a ver good job without a striker for most of the season, its time the owners actually backed the coach and rest of the squad with the final piece.
Failing to do so will mean a finish between 4-6 and will also mean Kurz will be gone in May, where with a decent striker I really think we can match any other team.

Re: Who's signed for next season
I wonder if a signing is dependent on Baba? If he's keen to stay then a season long deal like Čavušević had, would possibly be the best the club can offer. If he's happy to leave then that really opens up the prospect of a multi-year marquee contract to throw around.

I can't wait to see the back of Baba. Nothing personal but he has been the bane of AU for the better part of 3? seasons now.
Don't doubt his quality, his body is just broken.

Caceres to Sydney FC on loan from Melbourne City.
How does that work, does Sydney need a free roster spot to sign a loan player? And does city now have a free spot on their roster?

Re: Who's signed for next season
I would suspect the loan would put cacaeres on sydneys aleague roster and off citys thus opening a spot for city and taking one from sfc?

He's on loan from Manchester City so I assume it opens up a spot in Melbourne City's roster.

Re: Who's signed for next season
I guess it makes sense for him to go to SFC as their have the ACL to deal with so their squad will be stretched. But I don't get why he wouldn't be more interested in signing for someone like CCM or AU? Surely he'll get way more game time than at SFC where he's going to be behind O'Neill and Brilliante who have cemented their places.

He'd get a bit of game time there, especially with the ACL coming up. It could also mean that Sydney are going to drop de Jong for the ACL which would make sense given his injury record.I guess it makes sense for him to go to SFC as their have the ACL to deal with so their squad will be stretched. What a luxury item to have. Someone of De Jong's quality as an HAL only player. He'd get a bit of game time there, especially with the ACL coming up.
