In that case consider me shocked that Wellington were able to pull it off!

We couldn't afford him apparently.I was already annoyed that we either a) weren't keen on Burns or b) got beaten to the punch by Wellington, who are a complete basket case. This performance has very much amplified that anger

Amazing to think we couldnt afford him AND he would rather live in Wellington.
They don't have much quality I guess so the cash would be spread thin with Finkler no longer there.

Finkler and Vidosic gone would provide decent money. Also they maybe a bit desperate given the clubs survival might be doubtful so perhaps they pushed the finances further. He did brilliantly last time he was there which might have helped him decide to go back there. It is so long since he played for us I doubt he has any attachment to the club or Adelaide.Amazing to think we couldnt afford him AND he would rather live in Wellington.

That's very true, he was great whilst here but that was 10 years ago. I wonder if Finkler is headed our way, been all quiet on that front.

Re: RE: Re: Who's signed for next season
In hindsight i think you make a good point.I still think there's acres of space between our midfield and front line which is screaming out for some creativity.A 10 would be great but our mids are doing a fine job.
I think a versatile goal scorer is what we need. Someone similar to jeronimo or pablo who can play multiple positions and be a threat
Adlung isn't really that player and neither is Konst.
How good would a Da Silva type be strolling around there. He was a joy to watch last night.
I think a true 10 is more important than a striker at this point. Kitto mileusenic and blackwood are all young and still learning their crafts and have shown they can be dangerous. Baba and absalonsen need to stay fit and now step up. I think our front third is covered.
We really lack a link between the two lines. Someone creative and this can only help our young attackers who are growing into their role.
Find a 10 and put faith in the local lads i say. With absa and baba hopefully stepping up and reaping the benifit of a 10.
Ppl who slap the label of truth on the 1st thing they hear, do it out of ignorance, convenience or cant be bothered picking through a thin layer of falsehood to find the real truth, or possibly even another lie

You sense there will be a clean out if Joyce stays on at Melbourne City.
Might be nice to bring home:
Mauk
Malik
Kamau
Tongyik

Re: Who's signed for next season
Don't want Mauk, seems to have the "I'm too big for Adelaide" tag even though he was born here.
Malik is a walking time bomb IMO, we have many better options but the last 2 would be great.

Would be happy with any of those above. Good HAL experience bar Tongyik who is still a gun.

Re: Who's signed for next season
Mauk and Kamau are not playing very well at City, especially Mauk. Maybe a move here would get them playing their best again.
I would love to have Malik or Tongyik back.
Someone mentioned on 442 forum, not sure how seriously, that Cornthwaite could be here next season.

Young family who may want a bigger support network that Adelaide provides them. We couldn't afford him last time though.....Mauk and Kamau are not playing very well at City, especially Mauk. Maybe a move here would get them playing their best again.
