I'd be worried about the coaches if they weren't able to look at more than one player at a time!Yeah the club needs to keep trialling players as potential squaddies even as they chase the big fish.

I'd be very surprised to see Amor with the club after this season.

With Djite gone and Marino struggling for fitness, he's probably the best option. It's been mentioned many times. Some would like to see him at AU some wouldn't.Yeah mentioned this a few pages ago and no responses....I think it would workShould AU sign Kerem Bulut?

Re: Who's signed for next season
The season starts on Wednesday. The FFA cup match is a must win IMO. If we lose as reigning A-League champs it will be a humiliation we will never hear the end of from certain quarters.
It would be nice if one year we could have a strong pre-season and start the season with a fit, full-strength squad not with injuries and a host of new players who have to settle in and learn the system. We often seem to give the rest of the league a head start as a result of poor pre-seasons, player turnover and late recruiting.

Re: Who's signed for next season
Let's see:
Outs
Mauk
Kamau
Goodwin
Djite
Pablo
Dugandzic(? is this confirmed?)
Ins
Kitto
Marino
Makarounas
Garuccio
I think we're doing OK so far, with plenty of spots yet to fill.
On the official club site Ochieng, Warland and Smith are listed in the senior squad too.

All I need is some tasty waves, a cool buzz, and I'm fine.

Pablo is also out.
Marrone on long term injury list - possibly the entire season.
Cirio a few months away at least.
And I wouldn't count Ochieng, Warland or Smith as we had them last season.
You're right that there is still plenty of time.
But right now we have enough first team players for a first 11 plus 4 subs...

I would not be against signing Dugandzic as injury replacement for Cirio, he can play as a striker and does have experience, but not again on a full contract.
Is Marino injured as well?

Forgot Pablo.
Yes, I would keep Dugandzic on an injury replacement contract... he knows the system and the players, and can be handy.

Re: Who's signed for next season
Yes the season does start soon, but then there isn't another game for some time after that. So I think it would be silly to rush into signing someone for one or two games when the current squad the club has should be able to deal with an NPL side. The season starts on Wednesday. The FFA cup match is a must win IMO. If we lose as reigning A-League champs it will be a humiliation we will never hear the end of from certain quarters.

AU has no excuse to lose to an NPL side with a defence like this:
................Euge
Garuccio..La Rocca..McGowan..Elrich
..............Isaias
But I think the game may be like the Darwin game last season when they took some work to break down then AU ran over them in the second half.
Plus with the game so close signing a player in the next few days isn't going to help as I doubt that player would be ready to feature.
