A-League champions Adelaide United is in no rush to sign their fifth and final visa player following Pablo Sanchez’s recent exit.

“We want to make sure it’s the right player,” Kovacevic told FourFourTwo.
“We’ll see where we can top up the squad with Australians before we sign up that foreigner.”
That makes a lot of sense. No need to get into a bidding war the club is very unlikely to win. There are lots of players out there.

Great point also about the australian market being smaller than the overseas market.

Ante Kovacevic Seems to be a good public speaker and a steady hand. Such an improvement on previous years

I think its easy to build a squad around your visa players but given the small market of quality players where do you go when you have some glaring weaknesses in your squad?

The club seem to be saying all the right things lately and not pretending to sign a fading star.

That article on FFT on Kavacevic was honestly a really good read. So much sense in his words.

SFC release:
Necevski
A. Bouzanis
Anderson
Woodcock
Tratt
Stambolziev
A. Mullen
Naumoff

Wouldn't mind a look at Naumoff!

Also another few (Mullen, Woodcock, Anderson) would go all right as squaddies.

Naumoff has shown glimpses of brilliance. Tratt was a beast in the NYL grand final. AUs defense couldn't handle him.
Mullen could be a good pick up as well.
I think if Woodcock couldn't get regular game time in Sydney's defense he's going to struggle with AU.

I'd consider woodcock. Thought he's shown potential in his opportunities at a league level, and decent Australian born full backs, especially left sided, are not in great abundance.

Naumoff could be interesting as well. The rest...firm pass

Rumour on 442 is that Naumoff is off to Spain (second div).

Has he been injured? I was shocked to read that he only played one match this entire HAL season.

He'd probably earn more staying in the HAL. I can't see him getting a huge amount of game time in the Segunda.
I wonder if this is some way of him putting his hand up to say I want to play football somewhere that they play a "Spanish" style? Maybe a move across town?

I'm not sure how I feel about him. I think he could be ok as a full back. He just seems to bottle it in front of goal though.

Would take Hoole in a heartbeat.

He is a good winger, not sure about wing back but I rate him up forward.

I guess this just made me forget he won the Newcastle player of the 14/15 season.
Although considering the Jets came last that season I'm not sure what that means.
He's got a pretty decent amount of football under his belt for a 22 year old.

AU could do worse, but they could do better. This would be very wage dependant for me.

I find it interesting though, this off-season there seems to be so many players with time left on their contract seemingly looking at moving.
I don't recall this happening in previous seasons.

Another point on Hoole. He's scored one goal in his entire HAL career and that was a penalty. From a guy who's played on the wing most of his 60+ game career is a concern.
