Having watched a bit of that NPL stream I linked, both Warland and Tongyik look very comfortable on the ball and were positioning themselves pretty well as well. I'm tempted to back Elsey and La Rocca as first choice centrebacks and bring these 2 through.Given his age and form this season. I'd expect any HAL club would be interested.Faty's departure would explain Sydney's interest in McGowan. They just signed faty and apparently after another sydney visa player.I've heard he wants to go back to CCM. Not sure if that's certain though. So Wilkinson is out of contract at season end. Wonder if we could lure him over with the promise of ACL. Also depends on whether we could afford his wage demands.
They will be interesting next year if they can build a youthful squad around a core of experience

Agree. Of course, we'd ideally like to keep everyone together. Kitto could be a replacement for Dugandzic who should not get another contract, just has not done enough.

Re: Who's signed for next season
I'd be overjoyed for that to take place. But I feel the club did take a bit of a punt on a few young players this season which in the end paid off, but I would rather see a bit more of a known quantity as the first starting combination in defence if McGowan moves on.Agree. Re: Who's signed for next season
There would have to be a few players wanting to come and play for us.
We are no doubt going to lose some quality but hopefully we can adequately replace it.

Why would Kamau and McGowan want to leave United for another A-league club?

Money? That's the problem with the cap, I reckon it causes more player movements for guys chasing money. Why would Kamau and McGowan want to leave United for another A-league club?

Re: Who's signed for next season
Given kamau has been at the club from youth level some kind of rule that allows clubs to keep a player at the club with a portion of it outside the cap would be a good thing for the league.Money? I dont think anyone enjoys the constant merry go round of players each year in a 10 club league and not only that, where is the incentive to give talent a chance when they can get poached the following year by any club with a bit of space in the cap.

Re: Who's signed for next season
Totally agree. I'd love to see players that come thru the NPL/NYL to be excluded from the cap. Make clubs take development seriously.Given kamau has been at the club from youth level some kind of rule that allows clubs to keep a player at the club with a portion of it outside the cap would be a good thing for the league.Money? I don't know why there is assumption that the players are moving for money.
