I want my post back where it was.

Back on topic:
I wonder if announcing signings on Saturday will continue tomorrow.

Shit! For us. I hope it's good for him. He's been great for the club and a totally decent man who has inspired some brilliant football. But this was way too soon for the project. Sigh....

Onwards and upwards. A new forward with height and maybe some pace. He'll lift Brucie's game too. And we're left in the sound hands of a man who knows the club, the system and the players. It could be worse.

Gonna miss you Josep.
Ange left early in the MV project. They turned out okay.

Hopefully Amor can guide us the rest of the way.

Yes, they did fine. A set philosophy and a man who knew and loved the club. And a bucketload of cash and very good recruiting.

We all know which part of that equation we don't have (can we even afford a bucket!?) but we can still do well with smart signings.

Truth is, whatever happens, most of us will still be screaming from the stands at Hindmarsh anyway. It's the club we love.

Are they or are they just re-reporting others?

I remember the club saying they were gonna find new clubs for them and release them, so if he came here on loan, I wonder what spurred the change of mind.

They didn't provide any sauce, so it might've been something mentioned during the press conference. Did anyone watch it, was Eli mentioned at all?

Was not televised. Just went off the min by min tweets by the club. But no he was not mentioned. I imagine they'll do it tomorrow so the focus is on him and not just a side story.

Its a shame the club cannot find any 3rd party sponsorship who is willing to help with a true marquee.

With a large number of barcelona champions moving on and looking for clubs in developing leagues ( mls jleague etc ) im sure moving to australia and playing for amor would be a huge attraction if only we had some cash.

amor is held in very high regard even among current barca players so it would have been a huge advantage.

Who know, we might see a visa player moved on in the next window to accomodate? I doubt it though.

ALKMAAR- AZ has hired Eli Babalj for the remainder of the season at the Australian Adelaide United FC.

AZ Alkmaar has confirmed it. Season long loan. Expect an announcement from AU in the morning.

I actually reckon there must have been other things at play here. If Gomby was truly happy with the club then he would have stuck it out. No training ground, no money to spend must have contributed.

Is it a coincidence that AU was the place where such a passionate and charismatic coach lost his desire to coach professional football?
