Re: Who's signed for next season
Val's article now says that Josep is heading to New York City, and Amor is expected to be our next head coach.

Gombau leaving would be disappointing.

Re: Who's signed for next season
Val has updated that aticle and states gombau is linked to a new york mls club and armor will take over.I think the key thing we needed to win something this season is stability. If amor stays then we can recover but if not then wtf is with signing and selling players and leaving before season startsVal's reporting Josep's considering leaving.

Between the transfers, player unrest over pay, rumours of Jeggo being unhappy about not being allowed to go trial at Sturm Graz and now potentially Josep leaving... the classic AU pissant implosion is imminent.
Dissapointing but im ok with thisbecause amor is well.......a barca legend and knows his stuff.
I did wonder last year if Amor was our succession plan, he even stated he wanted to get into coaching first team football so i can only assume the possibility of gombau moving on was accounted for and josep even put a contigency in place.

Yeah, gotta say Amor taking over is the least worst outcome if Gombau leaves.
It's not an implosion yet...

Re: Who's signed for next season
I don't doubt that Amor has some good attributes but I do feel like there's something a bit special about Josep. He seems to be very good at getting the best out of players as well as his general tactical ability.Val has updated that aticle and states gombau is linked to a new york mls club and armor will take over.I think the key thing we needed to win something this season is stability. If amor stays then we can recover but if not then wtf is with signing and selling players and leaving before season startsVal's reporting Josep's considering leaving.

Losing a strong character like Josep is going to have a negative effect on us. I don't mean to be completely pessimistic, things might turn out great but I have concerns.

I really dont follow.Jesus Christ. Every three years, the pissantry strikes.
If he leaves we would still have the same basic managment and style still at the club, we will be heading in the same direction.
Having a barca legend and ex director of la masia who already knows our squad inside out now running our club on the pitch is hardly an implosion.
Any other club outside of europe would be doing cartwheels right now

Re: Who's signed for next season
I can understand that Josep would want to take an opportunity in NY working with his old Barca mates in the CFG, but I have the sad feeling that our owners incompetence/stinginess is part of the equation.
It was a fun two years while it lasted. Hopefully if amor is going to take over we can avoid complete pissant implosion.

Re: Who's signed for next season
Why sign a contract extension, only to leave? He's also the reason a heap of our players signed on.

Mabil signed an extension and left the club. Why sign a contract extension, only to leave? He's also the reason a heap of our players signed on.
It would not be as if josip has just ditched us left us with nothing, it seems he is leaving us in a could place and in good hands

I'd hope so. New York City FC is the strong rumour. SBS reporting that one of Amor's contacts may have been behind the move.Mabil signed an extension and left the club. Why sign a contract extension, only to leave? He's also the reason a heap of our players signed on.

Re: Who's signed for next season
He's got a contract with AZ till 2017.a loan from who? He's not contracted to anyone.Sounds like the Babalj signing might be a loan deal.

His profile also lists him as an AUFC player now.
