I tend to think that it is a good pick up, he is more qualified than many others in the league.Don't know of his coaching career?

Re: Sergio the new assistant
He holds a UEFA 'A' licence so I would suggest he has a pretty good idea what he's doing. Although it will add more to the lame arguement that AUFC are just AC rebadged but its great to see AU go with a Soccer old boy. I'm sure many of the FootballNews crowd will approve.
Time to Djbate!

Re: Sergio the new assistant
I don't know the man but I think it could be a good thing for United.
I do remember a very intense and committed Adelaide City midfield player.
Club captain, NSL footballer of the year, 1984, etc.

Good get and good that its only short term, at least we/they will get a decent look at him before deciding wether there is a future beyond 2012-13.
Re: Sergio the new assistant
So I suppose this means Rado is out of the equation?

Or maybe he's a chance for next season? This could be a short term thing.

Re: Sergio the new assistant
Brisbane said no to Rado since this is just a short term thing for Valkanis who I think may not want to do an Ian Crook.

Why Rado? Did well alongside Ange but I don't know if he has the runs on the board as a head coach at this level.
All I need is some tasty waves, a cool buzz, and I'm fine.

Rado was offered the assistant role, not head coach.
