AUFC v MVFC

Re: AUFC v MVFC
Bruce is crucial. Everyone saw how he could hold up the play and finally we could get our midfielders and wingers forward after the first half.
Next most crucial is McKain. Don't take him off after 60 minutes and give him the captains armband back. Huge is more than deserving but we need someone out in the thick of the things revving up the lads. Him and Huge can be co-captains perhaps.
Boogs missing out is an absolute blessing. Although Fyfe was torrid when he came on as CDM, he's an okay defender.

I kinda agree about putting the armband outfield. McKains captaincy was made to be a bit of a scapegoat in Rinis reign of terror, although he did concede a couple of pens early in the season from memory.

If the armband were to be taken from Euge (who should remain in a leadership role), it should go to either Cassio, Dario or McKain. Two seasons ago I would have included Fyfe in this.

surely dario is our most important, he is a class above all others and bosses the midfield.Bruce is crucial. Everyone saw how he could hold up the play and finally we could get our midfielders and wingers forward after the first half.

euge is captain end state! if you need to give someone the captaincy so they step up in the thick of things then they don't deserve the arm band
Re: AUFC v MVFC
Dario is our most creative player with Chelo no doubt - but he can't even get into the game if a strong forward can't hold the defensive line and create gaps for our midfield.surely dario is our most important, he is a class above all others and bosses the midfield.Bruce is crucial. Re: AUFC v MVFC
disagree.....he gets others into the game. and as for the strong forward? we played majority of season with jero not playing that role and we were killing the comp. goals have dried up and chances since playing the hold up striker play....mvfc are masters of quick attack and actually have forwards running towards goal, it's no secret they have been so successful for these reason

Ansell out, Rojas a doubt and Milligan in Spain. 3 big outs if it happens.
Expect us to lift against MV, anything is possible.

Yeah i heard on the news he's out for 1-2 weeksAny news on Bruce's scans?
Good news about Milligan being out!
Wonder if Fyfe will come in to replace Boogs? Fyfe hasn't exactly set the world on fire this season, so maybe we'll see a McKain-Golec CB partnership with Malik coming back into midfield? But then we might miss McKain's aggression right in the heart of midfield, i was so impressed with the way he battled on the weekend.

Re: AUFC v MVFC
Personally I wouldn't rush Malik back. Fyfe will be fine at CB with Golec IMO. McKain was clearly best so we shouldn't mess with that.

Oh and what a shock, as per usual the only person crapping on about Flore$ is Val!
I think AU have more then enough stories to write ATM, harping on about Flore$ again and again is pathetic.

Jero is the key to this game, play him in behind the striker and he will tear melbourne apart.
Shame no Boogs though, his last few games he has dominated the air and won everything, almost scoring twice from a corner...something we have lacked in this year.
sadly i see a 3-2 defeat, rojas and archie will destroy our defence with flores and traore feeding them.
