Are these blokes on the coaching panel?

I hope not lol.

I'd like Rini to have some role at this club as I do think he has the experience to make it a world standard club. Just not sold on head coach.

I agree he had some great plans for creating a youth development squad for the club and he often pushed for rules to be changed to aid youth development.

Rini was fucking terrible. He did the same thing he did at every one of his previous clubs. Took a good team and made it bad.

I know we all got giddy over rini and his oppinions on promoting youth, me included.

But what exactly was so great about his plans apart from the fact that we actually had the chance to read about them?

Im not sure we are in a position to say such a thing

Nice to see that he's definitely interested and not just a rumour.

Would love Stubbins to come on board. I honestly have no idea what he'd be like as a head coach but surely he has a few more runs on the board than Valkanis (or the likes of Mori etc)
All I need is some tasty waves, a cool buzz, and I'm fine.

Would love to know how the players honestly rate him, and who their first choice would be of the supposed short list.

Valkanis close to taking job full-time
It's understood only catastrophic results in Perth when Adelaide meets Glory at nib Stadium on Saturday and in the elimination final at Hindmarsh on April 7 will cost him the vacant role.

Valkanis has seemingly won over the majority of Adelaide's decision makers to claim the job for possibly a minimum two-year term.

Adelaide chief executive Glenn Elliott said a decision on the coaching future will be made after the Easter weekend.

"I can assure you nothing has been discussed until we get through minor round," Elliott said.

Adelaide's coaching selection committee which was put in place after John Kosmina quit and includes owner Bruno Marveggio and ex Socceroos Alex Tobin, Craig Foster and John Perin and Port Adelaide conditioning chief Darren Burgess must also endorse the Valkanis appointment.
Typical Val article tbh, makes a big assertion without much actual evidence. So 'it's understood' Micky V is in prime position to keep the job, barring some spectacular failures in the next couple of games .... yet he still needs endorsement from the committee that has been set up to actually, you know, choose the coach.

Also, wtf is a 'minor round'?

For me its not the poor form shown its the complete lack of readiness the side has shown to games. I feel if the club is even considering Micky V for next season they are bonkers.

MV is not ready to be a head coach, it is obvious - but keeping him at the club is important.

Valkanis seems to have no idea tactically and his selections are confusing, not as bad as Kosmina's selections though.
