Implosion Time⚠☠☢ ?

Postby sevengoals Sun Jan 27, 2013 11:09 am

Michael Valkanis has been linked to the top job at United but club chairman Greg Griffin says no approach had been made to replace Kosmina with his assistant.
Who?
What?
Where
When?
``It was the absolute coach's call, as was Caravella,'' Griffin said, with van Dijk now in Indonesia.

``It was not made through any desire to save money.

``The relationship had broken down so completely.

The only coach that could be worse than Kossie right now would be Micky V.

I still don't understand why GG is fronting up to the media regarding player movement. Isn't that Petrillo's job as List Manager or whatever he's called these days?

Yes these guys dont know when to shut their mouths. They have only JUST settled out of court with out last coach, so their credibility with fans is already very low so why goto val and even fuel a fire that was not even there yesterday ??

I really wish they would let Kossie and petrillo do the talking and they just remain silent and work behind the scenes.

The best owners are the ones who are seen and not heard
Ppl who slap the label of truth on the 1st thing they hear, do it out of ignorance, convenience or cant be bothered picking through a thin layer of falsehood to find the real truth, or possibly even another lie
The voice in our head is the final judge

Adelaide United FC would like to quash recent speculation relevant to the club's coaching appointments...

There will be no further comment from the club on this matter.

Kosmina quits Adelaide United

Postby Stuckey Mon Jan 28, 2013 9:38 am

John Kosmina has become the third coaching casualty of the Hyundai A-League season, saying he has 'absolutely no regrets' about his decision to resign from his position at Adelaide United, effective immediately.

Kosmina, 56, has ended his second stint at his hometown club, blaming a 'lack of trust'. Until last Friday's loss to Central Coast Mariners, the Reds had occupied a top two position all season

Fast forward 10 months, and we come to this. Before last weekend we had been first or second in the league and were recognised as a good football team. However, apart from survival, I can see no clear direction. There is no vision. Decision-making at management level is reactive and impulsive at best, and there is no consistency in managerial procedure.

"There is far too much whispering in corridors and around corners. I feel sorry for Rob Gerrard, and I also feel for directors Richard Noble and Phil Lounder - people I trust. But I simply cannot, and will not, work in an environment which otherwise lacks trust.
Wow not good reading at all!

Nothing good.

Too many chiefs and not enough people willing to swallow their ego and get behind cohesive decision making. We need a CEO who understands football and loves the club. We need a manager who really knows their stuff and has the clout to enforce decisions.

Yet again, it seems, serial undermining has been at work. I don't blame Kossie for seeing what was coming and jumping early but it's a disaster for the club and the team. Local fan support will once again be divided and demoralised. The better players will be wondering if they have better options. A swift response is needed rather than a stop-gap, local and cheap response.

As a West Ham fan I should be used to this sort of disappointment but seeing my local club, that has so much potential and into which we have poured so much emotion, self-destruct again guts me.

As I said on 442, "Thanks Kossie for pulling us out of a a short-term hole and giving the fans hope again. You may not have been the messiah but you were more than a naughty boy."

So there was some speculation about his job. So he walks. Has he not been a coach before!!!!!!!

Sounds like he really wanted his contract extended by now.

All very worrying.
We are UNITED, after all....

Stuckey, Sorry about this...
I wanted to merge the "United Implodes" with the "Kosmina Quits" thread as they sort of go together now and I bumped you down the thread.
