Fans United - Making a Stand. How can you help?
Okay with Friday night closing in fast (and me being back in the country) many of us are becoming more and more outraged with the club and their response.
Glenn Elliott's interview has drastically increased support for the cause both here, on football news and amongst even Red Army memebers.
There will be the first of what will likely become an on going active support protest going ahead.
So those of us who want to do something but aren't active support - what can we do? We can get high profile people talking and other clubs supporters involved. We can get an article on 442. What else cab we do and how can we do it? We all need to pitch in if we are seriously passionate about this.
Brainstorming session

Re: Fans United - Making a Stand. How can you help?
Great thread Irish, I've been trying to think of a way other supporters can join the protest, because after all, it's not just about active support, we want more too!
Obviously I sit in the gold section though and don't want to spill my Chardonnay, by we, I mean you people
A good chant maybe? "We expect more" something others can easily latch onto. Or as I mentioned in another thread, we could all wear black pants and go buy some cheap yellow polos and black wide rim hats?

There does need to be something that supporters can wear to show they are behind the cause. Like the man u fans did with the yellow and green scarves.

Let's keep the nitty gritty on here until a few hours before the Hindmarsh gates open.
I invite and implore as many people here as possible - yes, including you Stuckey - to join us from the South End at the top of the southern tier. We'll be doing 80 minutes of silence (a compromise between just 12 minutes and full 90). We'd like to do a message banner but are a bit pressed for time.
Irish and EdDog, I PM'd you back. If anyone else has questions, ask here and depending on what it is, I'll PM you or answer here.

Are you guys vacating the supporter bays? Empty bays would send a message - and sit and chant somewhere else? Is that at all possible?

We'll leave our bay empty for 80 minutes. Then we'll return and go nuts to show the contrast.

Fantastic thread love the spirit!
Imagine if all of our active supporters dressed in black and white and purchased away supportor tickets and sat town quietly not making a noise leaving our active areas empty and silent.
Personally i remember TWG giving victory fans a voice a few years back when they had similar issues. I was working on an email to send giving them the whole bleeding heart story and asking them to give adelaide fans a voice as they did MV as twg are often one of the first to promote change in the media.
Those of us on twitter possibly could try get retweets from prominent football people linking the C7 interview or any other pieces written on the subject

Everyone who's keen get a twitter account - it takes 2 minutes and all you need is an email address and a web browser.
We should have a clear and distinct MSG that can be tweeted and retweeted with the the match hash tag - can someone tell me what it will be - #AUvPER or something like that???

#redsfanssuppressed it is then.
Promote the game on Twitter, and be positive about it. Encourage people to come and see the protest. If it's more likely to entice people to come, give it a positive twist.

tbh I think a lower crowd is what we want...as bad as that sounds. That is what gets the alarm bells ringing#redsfanssuppressed it is then.
