Thanks everyone! Wrote out six pages of notes, I'll debrief you after the interview. Let's say the recent discussions we've had on here have been a HUGE help, I'd be quite a bit shorter for ammo if it weren't for you guys!

This interview I'm doing for any AU supporter, active or not, young or old, who has been unfairly kicked out or banned and not been spoken for. I'm ready. Roll on 8.10am.

Good luck phil. Remember firm and clear, get our point across in a sensible way and hopefully some common ground can be found.

I felt for Phil the issues he raised while frustrating game in game out came across a little small.
I think Greg was good obviously had to sing the management's praises.
I feel if they can all sit down for the meeting the real issues will get addressed by all and everyone can see where everyone else is coming.

Well played Phil I was nervious for you! It takes guts to do that and I applaude you for it!

So all in all it was a positive outcome. The issue has certainly been put in AU's sights and discussions will hopefully follow.

To be fair I dont think we put forward the problems we're facing succintly, a bit of a wasted opportunity however, if the door is truly open in terms of the CEO being open to a phone call/meeting then perhaps that is the best avenue to direct our concerns, not just about active support but our other issues as well, we should collect and forward the information we have gathered directly to Glenn Elliot.

Shane I believe that yourself and Jeremy have the best ability to express the issues we are facing, i'm happy also to come and add my 2 cents. I don't think we should wait till the next financial members meeting to raise these issues with him.

Lies from Greg Griffin. I was only expecting twisted truths.

"Weslo do a very good job"

"Our doors are always open to both groups"

"We value active support"

Blowing smoke up the arses of ignorant listeners. Answered no questions and left no impression he was willing to make an effort to work towards a solution or to acknowledge the issue in general.

Furious.

I have spoken 1on1 with Glenn Elliot before. His ignorance of the game and the uniqueness of it's culture is like speaking to a somebody with dementia. Not worth the waste of breath.

Maybe they were pressed for time, but I didn't get to properly expose ALL the issues we face. I was told one of the (possible) questions was going to be 'What response do you want from the club?' That would have been ideal. Exposure nonetheless, and in my opinion it showed that the club are still clueless. 'We'll have a meeting.' Meetings generally achieve little, if nothing at all.

I'm a little frustrated with the outcome, and Irish said Griffin addressed nothing directly. It's time we go direct to the top and chat not with Glenn but hit the
ORS.

Yeah it always seems to be the way with radio interviews everything is rushed and not as many points get across as intended.
Hopefully now its on record a decent meeting will go ahead.

IMO the protest still must go ahead. As you said nothing crazy just a peaceful thing to highlight we're not to be taken for granted. Once again well done mate!

Apparently loads of people have called 5AA saying there are many issues and the club must listen. You've really got the ball rolling Philly!

Suggestion for protest attire, everyone head to kmart/big W/Target and grab a yellow polo shirt and black wide rim hat, wear black pants and then protest. 100 people dressed like weslo protesting would get noticed.

Any exposure is good exposure. On Friday the protest will go ahead, if anyone wants details look me up or shoot a message. We want as many involved as possible.

YES!
Surely they wouldn't let you in dressed like that but are you breaking a law?

I put your suggestion to the group, bpowell, that'd be an ideal way to make a statement.
