If we knew who they were it would only result in people throwing sh!t and making up rumours. I’m glad we don’t know for two reasons: 1. so I don’t have to put up with reading that cr@p, and 2. so the owners don’t get chased off by d!ckheads.

Adelaide United - General Issues and Discussion

If there's anyone with any inside knowledge here it would be great to know, but more broadly the view in football seems to be 'if they're willing to provide money, let's not ask questions'
The consortium and in particular our chairman are heavily involved with a Chinese government backed group

Surprisngly the "investigate reporter" didn't bring that up

Here's a link to watch:
https://www.abc.net.au/4corners/a-leagu ... n/13560160
Who watched the Four Corners piece on A-League club ownership?
A lot of people are saying it's a nothing story, didn't provide any new information, etc - but as far as I'm concerned it is really important that the public is aware of the shady financial shit in football. Globally and locally. Most casual supporters probably don't know and don't care, but it's really concerning that we still don't know who funds Adelaide United.
They only touched on Adelaide for a couple of mins in the program (more time given to City Group & Abu Dhabi ownership / Sydney FC & Traktovenko), but basically Greg Griffin was on saying even he had no idea who the new ownership consortium behind Piet Van Der Pol is.
If there's anyone with any inside knowledge here it would be great to know, but more broadly the view in football seems to be 'if they're willing to provide money, let's not ask questions'

Reds fans, this is well worth waiting for! I have been asked to keep quiet until the media release. All I can say is that this all happened yesterday.

OK, I'm having a guess:

..............Nick Bianco never actually sold the club and has retained ownership this entire time, creating different facades through various companies and front-men to stay one step ahead of the creditors. Now the last of his creditors is appeased he's able to be revealed as the master-puppeteer.

I was told that it was a "done deal" and that there is agreement overall. Just a few loose ends to be tied up. I was given the impression that this should be announced this week. I hope that it can be announced tomorrow.
