Yeah........and if your powerball numbers come up you can retire early too, which is far more likely than us making the finals let alone coming third.
To be honest, all i am aiming for is not to finish dead last
It is just a bit of fun.

All I am aiming for is a good result against Gamba. If we lose then it is about preparing for next season, if we draw or win then it is about focusing on the ACL. Finishing 8th or 9th or 10th in the A-league does not really matter to me they are all shit positions and far worse than we should have done.

AUFC Marketing man Michael Rossi (not to be confused with Matt Rossi, who remains), has resigned.

Hahahaha, we actually had a marketing guy?

I feel like our marketing is non-existent, Although it seems the FFA don't really allow the clubs to do much individual marketing.

I agree. It would be very difficult to undertake a role when almost everything you do need to be approved by a body that probably doesn't get the full scope of the market you're marketing to.
Hopefully he is moving on to another role elsewhere in a similar situation to Michael Petrillo and this is the example the board need to boost the resources the marketing department get.

Shit survey.
The usual: marketing people believing that what we are interested in as members is stuff like social media cut-through and behind the scenes videos, rather than anything about the way the club & the team is actually run. Waste of time and poorly designed. I would have appreciated a 'N/A' option for most of the questions tbh.
All I need is some tasty waves, a cool buzz, and I'm fine.

Yeah I found myself answering all the questions they missed in the final comments which most questionnaire moderators ignore as that is too hard to quantify.

A-LEAGUE champion Adelaide United owes players three months unpaid superannuation and risks possible sanctions, including losing points, if it does not settle its debt.

This news is 5 days old. But geez could it be anymore ironic?
What the hell is going on at the club? Has the media, contract and finance department all gone on holidays?

Literally 5 days before this, Griffin was out running his mouth in the media about how Marveggio should give up his stake in the club because of unpaid super issues with his company.

The level of stupidity to shoot off like that when you have to know you are in the exact same situation is honestly quite breathtaking. Couldn't make this sh*t up

Its crazy that the only thing we've heard from management of the club on in the last fortnight is how no one is paying their employees correctly. In the meantime all the club's legends are walking out the door to the sound of crickets.
At least the Red Army has the organisational skills/decency to come up with a banner for Euge.

ADELAIDE United chairman Greg Griffin has revealed the cost of playing in the AFC Champions League has forced his club and Brisbane Roar to consider withdrawing from the tournament.
http://www.news.com.au/sport/football/a ... 680dd6b4bc
Posturing I would hope. But this sort of complaining just makes the club look silly. They've been gunning for the ACL for sometime. Now they are involved and they realise is an expensive exercise. Surely they would have looked at the cost of it prior? What else are they blinding diving into without ensuring they can afford to?
Maybe if the club wasn't in total disarray at the start of the campagn the side could have won a couple more matches and the ACL could be a valuable exercise. An away trip costs $60k, Three home wins covers those costs.

I agree the FFA needs to do more to help the HAL clubs involved in the ACL, and split rounds isn't enough. ACL clubs should be offered additional players to cover the schedule. Or the FFA should ensure there is extra football being played during the ACL that the younger HAL players can take part in so they aren't being flung into ACL football from almost nothing. I wonder if there is anything stopping HAL clubs from organising that themselves though, surely a few NPL clubs would be keen for mid-week games. Obviously its not ACL standard but it's better than nothing!

Just more evidence of the squandered opportunities winning the championship should have provided.
