Adelaide vs Sydney FC

Postby Max Power Fri Dec 28, 2012 10:27 am

This is shaping up as a MUST win now.

We got very, very lucky with CCM losing the plot and then Perth getting a late equaliser. All we need now is for Newcastle to beat the Scum and it would be the perfect round for us with that loss.

What do you think team wise? I want to see Golec come in and replace Boogard. Otherwise I would leave it at that, possibly with Caravella on the bench.

Crowd predictions? It's a hard one, I was expecting 7000 on Boxing Day not 11,000 so maybe the Del Piero factor will push it to 12-13k?

boogard & jeronimo are both on 4 yellows... so there probably won't be any change to the central defence again! :bang:

am I the only one on here who thinks jonny mac should be starting over both fyfey & nigel?

has anyone else noticed on the ticketek website that there are tickets available for all areas now? only a couple of days ago both the home ends (north & south) said "allocation exhausted" :?

I believe there was an error with ticketing. You may have noticed the South End groups not in their bay and at the top of the Eastern stand. This was not a protest or ban, but an error of ticketing where both security and stadium management basically said that anyone will be able to access the bay (per first 200 or so).

I will officially be in FULL PANIC MODE if we don't get 3 points from this game!

Want to see both Johnny Mac and Golec in for the two dinosaurs Fyfe and Boogs.

Caravella promoted, Rambo promoted. Heck even BD.

We have lost two winnable games, if Kossie doesn't ring the changes with the depth he has then he must have lost those players who are in youth league.

Serj is 100% gone, perhaps Rambo and Golec are also on the way out? Why else wouldn't he play them?

We were absolutely dominated in both games with very, very few chances.

This is a team treading water.

Caravella is leaving too, so SVD and Zen most likely won't feature again.

Caravella is awesome in Fifa for me at the moment. Far beyond anything he's been able to produce here unfortunately so I'm not too upset if that's the case.

Slightly off-topic, but I somehow have Djite, SvD, Caravella and Barker-Daish all lining up for Crewe Alexandra at the moment. Good value players for a promoted League 1 side all of 'em.

With the Del Piero factor attracting a few old fans it should just about be a full house.

Although with all those extra fans and the old Juve shirts coming out from the back of the wardrobe the smell of mothballs will be overpowering.

(I wonder if the old Aristo Juve shirts are like the polyester Admiral Leeds shirts - they start of as size M but after 20 years or so they shrink to about the size of those little window mascot shirts).

I've given up on team selection, how some players can play shite for weeks on end and still get picked, beats me.

Can't risk Caravella he'll be off to play with his Uncle Frank in Sydney in January

Jeez I hate these "must win" situations.

Oh well, roll on Match Day!

According to ticketmaster site the western stand is sold out, I'm guessing 14.5k for this one.

Nervous about this one, Sydney looked good the other night.

At Boxing Day game in pregame interview they said there had been about 12,500 sales so far including members.

Caravella is also doing well for me in FIFA too haha. Not sure if he deserves a spot because of this though...

I would like to see-

Galeckovic
Bowles-McKain-Golec-Cassio
Malik
Ferriera-Vidosic-Carrusca-Ramsay
Jeronimo

Subs- Izzo, Caravella, Djite, Watson

Kosta is doing nothing, Barbiero just runs around pointlessly when he comes on and hardly gets a touch, Djite would suit a sub role against tired defenders.

SVD is the only one I'm convinced is going. Ramsay is pretty settled here but I guess lack of game time would be frustrating.

Jero should be played in a midfield role. I can guarantee he'll score more goals that way.

Jerry as CF would be good to see. Not sure he has the legs for midfield.
