I'm actually not too worried about personnel in defence (but wouldn't mind Golec or McKain coming in for one of the CBs to freshen it up a little - don't care who). I think opposition teams have cottoned on to the fact that we struggle when we can't get the ball movement through Malik. Over the past couple of weeks passing channels from the defence to midfield have been closed down very effectively, Malik has struggled as a result and we've had to look for lower percentage passes through a crowded midfield to our AM's. Add to this that long diagonal balls to the wings haven't been too effective...

I wanna see a change in structure - invert the midfield triangle and introduce Watson alongside Malik. Need to do something about that midfield because unless we can maintain possession there we are boned.

I think over the last 2 weeks its been shown that without malik starting the play, we are nothing. we just need to jig the formation a little to give mailk some protection. That means we might have to sacrifice a winger and vido wide, to play another DM.
