There will be a significant announcement regarding a current Adelaide United player at approximately 11.45am today (Tuesday 18 December 2012) at Hindmarsh Stadium.

From footballnews so only a 50/50 chance it will happen.

I know a lot of people wouldn't have him but I would. He would surely assure us of 10k every game for the rest of the season.

If its not that then I hope its another re-signing!

I feel re-signings and transfers are a fantastic way to see how a club is travelling financially. As we saw with NQF and GCU when the club loses their top players and only replaces them with youth that haven't really earnt their stripes, its a sure fire way of knowing the club is in strife and the owners aren't willing to cough up anymore money for the squad. Clearly this isn't the case with AUFC atm.

i hope so , i really like svd but he is not in kossies plans , and at the end of the day our marquee player is not even on the bench and he must be costing us a fortune, good luck to him where ever he goes, he was a good player for us

Honestly don't know what I'd think if AUFC ended up replacing Serg with this bloke.
Pros: Still a pretty good player. Did some good things for the Socceroos.
Cons: Money hungry, vain, pea hearted gun-for-hire who's pissed off the fans at just about every club he's ever played.

If he was that 'desperate' he'd drop his wage demands to something more befitting his current abilities and circumstances...

He has really laid down his allegiance with the club over the years , even in interviews he has always said adelaide is always going to be his first choice.

Very happy we have him for 2 more , the backroom are doing a great job of keeping a very strong squad together

Pumped at this news, Bruce is a good player for us and a great representative of the club off the park as well.
