Re: Adelaide United Stats
Well there is no real record of many of those matches. Otherwise much of the NYL would be counted in the 99 player list. Would you include games played against local sides as well? Or just HAL pre season matches.

Re: Adelaide United Stats
Tough question actually, and good point. What rule of thumb do you use? I'd say matches where a majority of the senior line-up for the following season (51% or higher) played. But I do like your list, and it's probably wiser to keep it simple.
255 matches if you exclude the Preseason Cup.
EDIT: 323 matches in total - counting preseason friendlies against both local and A-League opposition and the Preseason Cup. Went by Wikipedia. We had no preseason friendlies so to speak between the start of 2007-08 and 2008-09.
2005-06: 15
2006-07: 3 (including a friendly against Miami FC)
2007-08: Preseason cup only?
2008-09: Preseason cup only?
2009-10: 7
2010-11: 5
2011-12: 10
2012-13: 11.
Total, Preseason Cup not included in this figure: 51.
Using this likely flawed logic, Adelaide's 300th match would have been on Thursday night, 26 April against White City (0-6 win). Our Round 1 match in that 0-2 win at Newcastle should be our 316th match, if my calculations are correct.
EDIT: Didn't we play a last-minute, unadvertised friendly against Croydon Kings, which we lost 1-2?

Updated my post on Page 2. Now in a simpler and easier to read format!
EDIT: Just found a dream Twitter account.

I highly recommend people jump on this and have a look at our stats. For example, we've scored 1.7 goals per game this season.

Re: Adelaide United Stats
So basically we're doing as well as we did when Rini took over in his first season. Only difference is Kossie is planning on keeping this group together where as Rini wanted to get rid of people and play them off against one another.Other stats.
NOTE: The totals given under each heading refer to the relevant number of rounds for each season in line with the current one (2012-13).
I'll try and keep this progressively updated.
Current up to Round 10, our most recent match a sensational 4-2 belting of the Tards at home.
Goals - Scored and Conceded:
Scored:
2012-13 total: 17.
2011-12 total: 8.
2010-11 total: 17.
We have scored seventeen goals in ten games so far this season, equalling 2010-11. We're blasting towards our total record for 2011-12 - 25 goals.
We are the only side to have scored in every match so far.
Conceded:
2012-13 total: 9.
2011-12 total: 18.
2010-11 total: 9.
So far we have conceded nine in ten games. As is the case with with how many goals scored, it's tied with our 2010-11 season.
Clean Sheets:
2012-13 total: 4.
2011-12 total: 2.
2010-11 total: 3.
It took us just five rounds to notch three clean sheets, thus already equalling the ultimate total of three for 2011-12. We went one better in our 1-0 win over Heart to make it FOUR clean sheets! In 2010-11 we kept a grand total of ten clean sheets.
Results, Points and Positions:
We are currently second on 22 points as of writing, for seven wins, one draw and two loss. We are just a point behind first-placed Central Coast Mariners.
The first eight rounds officially formed Adelaide United Football Club's best start to a season EVER!
Overall Streak:

http://www.footballaustralia.com.au/ade ... arsh/60170When Adelaide United FC tackles Melbourne Victory this Friday night, Hindmarsh Stadium will reach a significant Hyundai A-League milestone.
Come kick-off on Friday, the South Australian iconic boutique purpose built football stadium will become the first venue to host 100 Hyundai A-League matches. Of the 99 Hyundai A-League fixtures played at Hindmarsh to date, there have been 281 goals scored, 160 of which have been for Adelaide United.

Re: Adelaide United Stats
Euge's 150th HAL match this weekend. Is it just me or is there way too much focus on just HAL appearances? Surely ACL games are more important then HAL games so total games for the club/career should be celebrated better. (Oh wait no one on the east coast cares about the ACL we only worry about tournaments East coast sides can win!)

It is worse than that, they ignore NSL appearances as well.

I know may as well pretend the NSL never happened. The FFA invented Football in Australia. It is worse than that, they ignore NSL appearances as well.

Re: Adelaide United Stats
FYI I'm still keeping this list up to date. If I'm not mistaken Eugene is only 9 matches away from overtaking Doddy as highest attending player. I've brought it to the club's attention via Red Out Aloud, as this is IMO too important to miss.
