It was. But it's not that hard to replace the offending shirts with unlabelled ones. They left the red tape there to stand out.Thought it was just to cover up Clive's logo? The tacky shirts are deliberate. Despite rhetoric to the contrary.
The big patch of red-tape is an excellent YOUR LOGO HERE type of deal. It's been done before in other sports.

Re: ACL Quarter Final
Still impressive. Thanks for the link.Becuase you havnt read it then it cant be true right?Doubt it, can't find this anywhere.I read somewhere 15 million people watched the au nagoya game, surely we could find an aussie sponsor looking for asian exposure purely based on that info ?
In comparison the afl grandfinal get so ething like 2.5 million viewers
Here is a link reporting on last years group stage ratings
http://www.espnstar.com/football/afc/ne ... on-the-up/
According to those numbers the group stage and round of 16 averaged 1.5 million viewers a match.
Considering the last game was a knockout match against one of japans biggest clubs ( japan also has the highest tv ratings) its fair to say this match attracted more viewers then an afl grandfinal.
15 million im not as sure but my point is clear, its rediculous aussie companies will not support AU

Probably best to get one of those tough teams out of the way. I see Al-Ittihad as the team to beat.

Re: ACL Quarter Final
Based on what? I haven't seen any of the west asia ACL so I am no judge but I just get the feel for some reason the standard in West is lower than the East. I also feel the West sides wouldn't travel well all the way over to Oz. But they should handle our dry heat better the most.Probably best to get one of those tough teams out of the way. I see Al-Ittihad as the team to beat.
Time to Djbate!

The team to beat from West Asia; they've won the ACL before. I've been thinking this over and they've yet to face east Asian opposition.
