Apparently Mullen and Watson have been dropped from next years squad.
Watson was only on a one year deal so I guess he hasn't got a renewal. Mullen I'm not sure about but maybe he has been picked up like Fyfe, Flakes and Susak by a Asian side for a handy transfer fee. Otherwise IMO AU are mad to just let him go. I can't think of a better RB of his age in the league.

Not too bothered about Watson seeing as he doesn't really have a place in our squad. Mullen is a loss, he's incosistent but manages to step up for big games like ACL fixtures.

I doubt Mullen would be leaving, but if he did François Clerc as a replacement?

We've already got Daniel Bowles who is an actual RB as opposed to Mullen (CB) and Watson (CM). We also have dilevski who had played there as well.

I wonder wether we are just cost cutting to try and fit Van Dijk back into the salary cap (I think he was in the cap his first season here) to try and make room for another foreign marquee?

I can't imagine either would be taking up much room. Maybe Mullen wants a lot more on his next deal. Dileski's contract was only a one year deal also.

Would prefer Dilevski & Bowles as our RB options, Watson is a good squadie but would prefer to have Mullen for that spot. If Mullen is being transfered then all good, and don't have too much drama if Watson is let go. Happy to free up some more space to bring SVD back into the cap and sign a different Marquee...
