This just adds to my oppinion that much of the media in this country did not want us to advance if brisbane could not.

Clearly foster missed periods of the group stage where our midfield not only compteted but dominated much higher paid clubs.

Or that we had more genuine chances to score then nagoya .

Or that we went through the group stage with 3 very young teens getting alot of game time.

Not even noting kosminas tactics that got us here....oh he doesnt have his coaxhing badges so ....lets glaze over that to.

Everytime au has some success the national media seem to try guilt the club and fans into being embarassed about it
Ppl who slap the label of truth on the 1st thing they hear, do it out of ignorance, convenience or cant be bothered picking through a thin layer of falsehood to find the real truth, or possibly even another lie

Shin, i think you may have misinterpreted the piece from Foster.
He correctly pinpoints the precise moment when United won the game, created club lore/myth and possibly, quite possibly propels us further than we could have dreamed.
He is praising the moment of Eugene's save and only Eugene's save.

Then something happened that will linger long in the memory of any who saw it live, and in the folklore of a club with an uncanny knack of prospering in this competition.
That Galekovic save!
That marvelous parry!
An absorbing game, lasting more than 90 minutes, came down to one moment.
The whistle blew and 10,000 fans, the coaches and players erupted in stirring relief and celebration. Thanks to one man, and a save for the ages.

Full match replay on YouTube.

Haven't seen it in this thread anywhere, and sorry if it's already been prominently been brought up elsewhere. But.. I've already watched this twice ;)

Highlight is easily at 37:13. I just watched it again, got a few goosebumps haha.
