Boogs out, wait Rees in?!!

Postby Stuckey Fri May 04, 2012 5:04 pm

ADELAIDE United's Nigel Boogaard wants a contract extension but ex-Red Kristian Rees may jump the queue.

Boogaard was the only off-contract starting XI member of Adelaide's AFC Champions League second round qualification clash at Hindmarsh on Wednesday night.

No substance AT ALL. Boogs is out of contract, sure. Contract extensions are in discussion - he may be asking too much, sure I'd believe that.

But the link to Rees is PURE speculation. Val could write the same article with my name in there in place of Rees. The only validity comes from the fact that Rees is a free agent. Wouldn't get too worried unless there is a direct link with Rees which this article does not have.

Bigger chance of Flores coming back IMO.

If the flores rumour is true we have to understand it comes at a price when the club has already stated it wants to keep wages down
Ppl who slap the label of truth on the 1st thing they hear, do it out of ignorance, convenience or cant be bothered picking through a thin layer of falsehood to find the real truth, or possibly even another lie

A couple of weeks ago Reds CEO said club would spend 100% of the salary cap next season; he didn't say anything specific about a marque but I understand he believes they can be a money pit. He did point out two lowest salary clubs this year were Wellington & Central Coast, I think MVFC was the highest, now look at the ladder.

Val is shit stiring, and I could not believe the club would think of doing something as dumb as going after a retired player.

I know you wrote that, but we definately disagree on the definition of 'support' I would define your's more as mindless whinging.

There was a Cockerill article in the SMH the other day stating that Adelaide was one of several clubs understood to be moving their marquees within the salary cap, which if true could explain why we'll be spending 100% of it...
