http://www.adelaidenow.com.au/sport/soc ... 6344182478THE Government has told Adelaide United that Hindmarsh Stadium naming rights will be split 50/50.
Naming rights to Hindmarsh could be worth $500,000 a year, compared with an estimated $1 million AAMI insurance is paying for Football Park's naming rights.
Adelaide will now pay $25,000 a match as the Office for Recreation and Sport continues with its review of its owner-operated stadiums, including Hindmarsh, Santos and the SuperDrome.
This article is all over the place.
From what it sounds like the government has brought the cost of hiring the ground to $25,000. Very good deal and AUFC will now get more money from ticket sales. All good news! This was a massive consern for me if the rent continued to rise I couldn't see how the club could possibly grow and sign new players on big deals.
I'd be more then happy to see Hindmarsh called something else if it meant AU saw that cash.
