AUFC V Bunyodkor

Postby Stuckey Mon Apr 30, 2012 4:55 am

ADELAIDE United defender Nigel Boogaard says the Reds expect to face a tougher, more cohesive team when they meet Bunyodkor for the second time.

The Asian Champions League encounter will be played at Hindmarsh Stadium on Wednesday.

"Definitely they will be tougher. We got them at a period when they hadn't played any competition games, it would have been quite difficult for them and we were coming off our season," he said.

I'm worried we're not match fit enough now. From what I have heard we played Croydon last week and the White City this week. Hopefully that will be enough. I guess considering we beat White City 6 or 7 nil we were going hard at it.
Sounds also like Dario played well and came thru the White City match unscathed.
C'mon lads win this and we're thru for sure!!!! Not that sitting bad in the next match is acceptable! Top spot must be ours!

ADELAIDE United is expecting Uzbek team Bunyodkor to be on the offensive when they meet at Hindmarsh Stadium tomorrow night.

But the Reds are well prepared for the match, Zenon Caravella said yesterday.

It will be the second time they've met after Adelaide defeated them 2-1 in Uzbekistan in March, and Bunyodkor needs a win to keep its Asian Champions League hopes alive.
We'll be ready.

Apparently the Uzbeks have been training at Newton and aren't happy about the quality of the pitch and rated it 4/10. I'm sure everyone remembers how crappy their pitch was over there. Idiots.

Hopefully David carney plays and just takes shots from 30 metres out and from obscure angles the whole game and sky them all over the goal like last game.

FYI guys - half price ticket offer in the advertiser today to Wednesday's game against Bunyodkor. For GA so guessing that covers both red and blue but unsure.

Also can only be redeemed at the gate after 6pm Wednesday but it's great to see the advertiser put a bit of promo behind this one.

Get on it of you haven't already bought yours or bring a friend!!!

Racking my brain for carney insults!!

Cannot believe there has been nothing written about a socceroo coming home to play against our adelaide united.

Not even an interview from carney

They're saying shower or two tomorrow on BoM. Max 17, 40% chance of up to .4mm rain but mainly about the hills and south. Windy too.

Fingers crossed.
