I heard a rumour at the game of a couple of potential sponsors the club is chasing to replace the toxic clive palmer football australia.

I overheard these as proposed sponsors:
The Syrian Tourism Commission
Iranian Nuclear Power Generation
and
North Korean Aerospace

I beleve Energy Watch was floated but that was thought to be too contraversal

On FourFourTwo.com jessesdad made a passing comment that if the owners want 300k sponsorship for the rest of acl so bad, then maybe AU fans could pass the hat around $50 each and buy a section of the reds shirts for one home game.

He was emailing the club and waiting for a response.

It looks like 4 people here have already pledged $400 with minimal info in this thread, so who knows whats possible.

Suppose fans got 10k to sponsor the club for one game .....imagine the good news story that would create!

I love the idea and if it got off the ground would put my hand in my pocket too.
Personally I would rather the fans go for a community ownership play then just giving the money away. So many fans aren't happy with the way the club is run. I think if we got the $300K together we might be able to buy a seat on the board and get ourselves heard there!
