Pohang V AUFC

Postby Stuckey Sat Mar 31, 2012 12:33 am

ADELAIDE United is gambling with destiny, with injured Dario Vidosic named in a shoestring 16-man squad bound for Pohang.

But with the Reds allowed an 18-man team sheet for the AFC Champions League clash against Pohang Steelers at the Steelyard on Tuesday night, United coach John Kosmina doesn't think the club is rolling the dice.

I guess I can understand only taking 16 players. It would save the club thousands but at what cost?

Vidosic under and injury cloud is a consern! Although if we only get half a game out of him not much has changed!

I'll be more than happy with

0-0

Anything more would be a wonderful thing.

I honestly would be happy with a small loss, 1-0 or a draw. You have to be realistic, then try and repay the favour when they come to visit Hindmarsh.

If we win this game it would be HUGE! Nine points after 3 games? Wow.

i lol'd.

a hammy isn't something to fark around with tho, could easily become a long term pestering problem.

interesting that Kostopoulos is tipped to start. i haven't seen much of him, nor know much about him, but he must have something special about him. all i can say from what i have seen is that he appears composed.

i agree with the general consensus, i'd be stoked with a draw.

I assume their players as well as their supporters will be as motivated as we were against Gamba, considering they have not beaten us nor have they scored against us. This will be a tough one, I'd be happy with a draw.

The a-leagues website's "What you need to know about Pohang" has just informed me that their website is of very high standard.

Now I'm worried....

It's gonna be a tough game but we have a good record with Pohang and Bruce has scored against them once already so he should fired up :D

I think 11 points guarantees a place in the round of 16, obviously 8 points is mathematically an option though

If we do anything other than play 10 around the box with Djite alone up front I will be devastated. BR can go out without a win by playing attempted tika taka and leaving the back door wide open, but I like success.
