Kristian Rees back to AU?

Postby Stuckey Sat Mar 31, 2012 12:28 am

Kosmina was, according to sources, also close to re-signing former Red and ex-Gold Coast defender Kristian Rees.

Hopefully the key word in this paragraph is was!
I reckon our defence is look very nice on paper. I unless someone like Boogs is close to leaving I see no need for Rees

Pass. I am slightly concerned that we are not moving forward and looking for new talent.

i'd happily take him on the cheap. surely the fact that he can end his top flight career at home would be a great carrot to get him on a small salary.

he wouldn't be a first team player, but would be an asset to have around if injuries strike us hard next season. i still think he can get the job done.

and being back home might be enough to keep him happy, even if he does spend most of his time in the youth league. it's rare to find a 'reserve' senior player for the A-League. that's IF he'd be happy to play such a role of course.

We can all calm down again.

:D

Kosmina explains all...
Rees was on the radar but not any more.
Solorzano is of no interest to the club.
And Sergio van Dijk may wish to leave but "he is under contract and a required player".

I think its more like " certain players may like to leave but they have a price on their heads before we will allow it.
