If we left Hindmarsh?

Postby Stuckey Wed Mar 28, 2012 9:52 pm

Ok AUFC and the government can not come to an agreement. AUFC have said bugger you we're off. The Government say good great grand wonderful. The next day demolish Hindmarsh to build the world's second largest rocking horse there.

Where would you like to see us go now that Hindmarsh is gone dead and buried?

And please do say
don't leave Hindmarsh
I realise no one WANTS to leave but sometimes in life you have to do things you don't want to do to get where you want to be.
We are Adelaide United FC not Hindmarsh Stadium FC.

For me its Santos. Sure its not great with the track but its probably the only stadium closer to the city then Hindmarsh. I'm sure the Athletics community would enjoy the benefit of having their stadium much busier much more often.

The Parade for me, good cafes, good pubs, close to town, COOPERS HILL!!. Plus, you gotta love those underground "bunker" toilets on the eastern wing.

Somewhere central. The Parade, or failing that, Santos. Or stick a pitch in front of this:

We wont be moving anyway ...both sides are just jockying for a better position so imo its a little pointless

I will travel to anywhere that the club plays from as long as I know that the reason for it is the survival of the club and there is a road map towards us either owning our own ground or taking control of Hindmarsh (as really should be the case).

Not to sure what the atmosphere will be like with V8's roaring past! :D But would be a great use of generally a waste of space!

I'd prefer Norwood too. Close to town, and within a shopping hub. Pubs and cafes etc. It's a really nice ground too, a whole lot of character. Is the capacity enough though? Also, like Hindmarsh, there's little under cover seating. Parking would be an issue too.

What about Ramsey Park at Elizabeth?
Can hold up to 5K and temporary stands can be installed.
Close to public transport and off street parking all round
Lot of AU fans in elizabeth
No other catering close so the club could make a killing
and importantly, close to home for me
