More talent to the FFSA leagues

Postby Stuckey Tue Mar 13, 2012 1:20 am

JACK Plummer believed there was no future at English club Portsmouth and left troubled Pompey to continue his football adventure in the US, Germany and now South Australia's Super League.

Plummer was chased by US League clubs LA Galaxy and Chivas last year after winning a scholarship with Vanguard University but a call from a mate lured him to Adelaide.

I really hope AU are taking a good look at the local leagues. I know Rini was taking a large interest in the league there seems to be a fair bit of talent showing up there.
I know a bloke who played MLS is with Comets, a guy who played for Las Palmas in Spain is here and I hear Owusu is interested in coming back.

I thought Owusu was coaching a juniors/reserve team somewhere.

It's a little bit worrying that we don't have a definite coach for next year, who is telling our scouts where to look or who to look at? We might bring in another coach with a totally different style and therefore require certain types of players.

The off-season is so damn long that a new coach will have ample time to find the players he wants

True, but how many good players/opportunities are we going to miss in the meantime?

What?
We have another 8 months off season?
Wasn't that supposed to be a one off?
