Disappointed with the result, I thought that was the best I have seen us play this year, but luck and the Ref were against us.
Shitney's first goal should have been disallowed for Beauchamp's elbow to Lev's chest.
Still a lot of work to do, but signs of progress last night.

That's the good news. The truth is that Adelaide were better than the final score suggested. They deserved a point, perhaps all three.
They frantically clocked up chances and could easily have put one of them away. But every time it seemed a post, some desperate goalkeeping from Ivan Necevski or some last-ditch defending got in the way.

This is spot on. I really enjoyed the effort and style the team played with in the second half. There appears to be improvement and upside in most of the team (i.e when Ramsey develops the crossing to go with his pace). We need to find some width on the right hand side of the park so we have a couple of outlets and areas of danger.Exactly right blahblah.
Our A-League season was over a while ago for mine, so although I'm not happy we lost, dropping points doesn't matter so much. I wasn't that upset on full time, because the team actually played very well and on another day could have buried Sydney. We were extremely unlucky - had a goal off a corner disallowed for no particular reason, hit the woodwork, got denied by some great saves. It was a fairly high-quality game in general actually, both sides had some very nice moments.
Wouldn't mind seeing Kossie bumped upstairs and Miron come onto the bench.

Give melling a start, push vidosic up next to serg.
Melling has the skill and composure to keep the ball and put players in. Having vidosic upfront might give us that extra dimension we have been missing

Melling is due for a start before the season ends in my eyes, always looks up for it and does add that spark.
5 games left, we should throw some ideas about, move some players around, see if we can get anything out of it..
Fuck Off Melbourne.

I think kamara or kostapopoulos(spelling?) would also be worth a run. Looking forward to getting Mullen and Golec back to give us a couple more defensive options, Mullen into RB maybe.
Before the Gold Coast game galeckovic said we want to win 5 out of 7 to make finals so we can still drop another game yet without having to worry about mathematical chance. I know we are playing Roar, CCM and Glory and they have all thrashed us at least once this season, But we also have Newcastle and Heart who are inconsistent and beatable.
I am holding on to finals hopes till the end, we played 3 in 8 last week and absolutely dominated Sydney for at least 45 minutes.
Referees were absolutely useless last night. Bring on Newcastle!
