Mullen-Fyfe-Boo-Cassio

The backline that served us well for much of last season.
Drool :D

Me likey! Strong defense, good for counter attacking football.

didn't Eugene win the golden glove award due to the amount of saves he had to make behind a defence that included Fyfe?

He might be better than what we have atm but so would Bodrusic, i don't think Fyfe is going to be a knight in shining armour for our defence.

He didn't win it last season. Theoklitos did so what does that tell you. Just because he's the best keeper doesn't mean he's the most used!

Definetly no knight in shining armour, but always came across as a leader in defense and played for the shirt

he was too busy scoring down the other end.

EDIT:

the rest of my post didn't go thru :s

basically, i totally agree with what Shin said. Fyfe was a club man, thus a great asset to have back around the club during this rocky period.

Kossie confirmed mckain will be starting , replacing watson.

Id imagine he will play cb and push mullen to rb.

Cassio recieved a knock so usucar comes in for him.

So it may be something like....

Golec, fyfe, mckain, mullen.

Imo thats the best line up we have had all season back there

I reckon your right shin, I think McKain and Fyfe as the centre pairing is the strongest option we have. I like Boogs at RB over Mullen but not by a lot. If this is the base for the team next year I definitely think spending the last few games of the season and ACl will serve them well!
Fingers crossed for a solid defence next year!!!!

I like that idea, give McKain game time in the A-League to get his confidence back up. Don't think Boogs will be happy if he gets dropped though... what am I saying, who is ever happy to be dropped.

Played 90mins last Tuesday against western strikers, played 90mins on saturday in a practice game for those who didn't travel to gosford.

Won't play against Gamba Osaka but is a definite chance to make his return against Melbourne Heart on Friday.

According to Kossie.
