Carney?
With Carney leaving his club, I think he is someone we should really go after.
Susak going frees up some cash also the slory money we saved.
Hes an aussie, and no offence to cam watson but he really cant attack, he is very simple.
Thoughts?

Re: Carney?
Carney seems kinda desperate to stay in Europe.
I'd have him, but isn't he a left-back?

According to Bunyodkor's website, Carney has been training with them.

Re: Carney?
so... looks like we'll probably being playing against him instead!
SOCCEROO David Carney has signed for Uzbek giants FC Bunyodkor after terminating his contract in Spain.
The 28-year-old left back began a trial stint with the Uzbek side on Saturday, as reported on the club's official website.
And last night, agent Ante Alilovic from Entourage tweeted that they were "...proud to announce that we have agreed terms with FC BUNYODKOR IN UZBEKISTAN with David Carney!!!!!"

Re: Carney?
A-League would have been a much better option for him...ah well.
Players will eventually learn that playing regularly in the A-League beats club hoping in Europe.

We are UNITED, after all....

Re: Carney?
Does anyone get the feeling some socceroos are scared to come home to the aleague?
Probably have caught a few games online and realised the game has evolved here and there is some real talent emerging and thought "shit if i come home its not going to be a walk in the park"
You cant knock somone for wanting to work overseas, but damn! Tashkent?

Ppl who slap the label of truth on the 1st thing they hear, do it out of ignorance, convenience or cant be bothered picking through a thin layer of falsehood to find the real truth, or possibly even another lie

Re: Carney?
Personally I think its the complete opposite. Look at the game last night. Sure the conditions weren't fantastic but to say the standard of play was shit house is a compliment. Neither side could string more then two consecutive passes.Does anyone get the feeling some socceroos are scared to come home to the aleague?

I think a lot of players O/S look at players like Scott Jamieson or Kaz Patafta and how their careers have stagnated then think I'll try my luck in China, Korea or even Uzbekestan where the standard of football is higher and the standard of pay with insanely higher. Sure the standard of living isn't as good but for five times what you would probably earn in the HAL I would consider it!
